Matt James - Bachelorette 16 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Matt is a Raleigh, NC native and the local TV station did a previous interview with him regarding his youth program.  I believe I posted this before in a Tyler thread during HannahB's season but worth watching again now that Matt  is a contestant.  ABC11 Article/Video Link

I agree, he has great potential to be the next Bachelor.  Go Matt!  

I could see them visiting Raleigh even before hometowns.

Hmm. Wonder if he thought the new Bachelorette would be Hannah Ann or Madison? What a great looking guy, though!

If he has backed out perhaps it’s also to do with Tyler and the timing.
Im guessing he would be thinking Tyler needs lots of support at the moment and him going off for a few months with no way to contact Tyler might not be the best ‍�

Good for him, nothing against Clare but not very realistic pairing. He has a good head on his shoulder and may not have wanted to sell his soul for being on a tv show. These contracts are getting more and more binding. He would be READING it as opposed to many others who just sign on the dotted line.

ETA and the timing sucks too with the Coronavirus, Tyler alone in New York...etc...

Sorry for being shady boots, but I'm at peace with him not being on the show. It opens the door for Dale to be the first black bachelor.

Maybe he decided without international travel as a possibility, it was less appealing to him.

@suzq Matt works for the largest commercial real estate services and investment firm in the world. In addition, he is an Amex SM influencer and also does influencing for other major companies. I just don’t think it’s about the international travel because that would be pretty inexpensive for Matt.

That page seems to have taken their story down of him backing out or at least it doesn't come up for me and they seem to list him last of the contestants.
