@Emeralds There was a moment that really encapsulated what you said about CH and the upcoming proposal ...when CH came to have his ‘ chat’ with Peter, outside, right after his heartbreak with Madison, which of course they conveniently DID NOT SHOW, so the day after, Peter is clearly demolished and CH has this cold, straight face and asks him how he’s doing, and after Peter tells him how hard it was, and he doesn’t know what to do, he says: « well, how long is this heartbreak gonna be, are you gonna be ready for what’s coming ? - I.e. the Freaking Fricking Proposal to HA. - I was so stunned that at that very moment I knew they would do everything, like EVERY THING , to make sure he was proposing to HA with a smile on his face. and...good ol’mental anguish torture worked and Peter did his deed, like a robot, and the rest is a ...tragedy.
It’s so despicable and heartless to see these grown men, who are husbands and fathers - I’m talking about Fleissmaster, Millsy and CH- go to these length to produce a fricking ‘show which premise is supposed to be LOVE and it’s turning into this Hunger games, race to ratings at all cost , which is now including running a semi truck over their Leads several time in a season AND Post season- to make them really earn their quarter mil $ that never can replace the broken relationships and emotional anguish they get in return. Yesterday was a dark page in the Bachelor history IMO and a LOT of this is a direct product of sick people writing sick scripts that involve real people too blinded by the golden opportunities that lay ahead to resist participating in. And I’m guilty of watching this circus and always hoping for something better. That’s insanity I guess , right?

@Emeralds @Astrobach I think Chris Harrison has shown himself to be an awful human being. He's prepared to throw anyone under the bus and to manipulate people who put their trust in him. It was incredibly telling that Chris even admitted he'd had to "get tough" with Peter to make him choose HA. He knew how devastated Peter was after Madi left, that he was in no state to propose to anyone. It would've even been obvious when he saw how broken Peter was at the rose ceremony after Madi's FS date, how worried Peter was that he'd lost Madi. IMO CH and production knew Peter was truly in love with Madi, he'd even said in an ITM "I want Madi more than anything". And yet they helped facilitate and manipulate Madi's departure and drilled into Peter that he needed an engagement to HA. No wonder CH and Barb get along.

Peter has a path before him of finally cutting the apron strings to Barb and becoming the man he needs to become. Of making his own decisions. It'll require him to stand up for himself and to move away. The other path is staying with the familiar dynamic, which might seem comfortable but will never lead him to happiness.

It's funny that his family and people like Chris seem so obsessed with who they think Peter is and what he can and can't do. Change would probably be the healthiest possible thing for Peter and his best chance at actually living a fulfilling life. That they're so hell bent on dismissing any concept of him choosing something different shows how little they care about him. Whatever happens in the future, I hope Peter and Madi have realized production aren't their friends. All JMO.

Someone (possibly Bekah M) said that when CH and Pete were talking before the F3 RC, they looked like CH was a vampire who had just sucked the spirit out of Pete to sustain his own eternal youth.

The only person that didn't bash on stage was Madi. The one all of them, including Chris, was blaming for all this.

HS should have forgiven Peter by then. There wasn't a need to humiliate hum.

@atem It's disturbing that some think Madi is the bad person in all of this. It's like they ignored the way Barb wanted to bully Peter and Madi into submission and now they're just blaming the victim. Remembering too how Barb even said that Madi isn't here for Peter. Well Madi showed Peter more support than his own Mother did that night. Madi stayed beside him, and his mother clapped whilst watching him in pain. You don't humiliate someone you love. You don't take pleasure in seeing them trashed.

Madi never threw anyone under the bus. Even when she left she didn't say a bad word about Barb. Unlike Peter's family, she actually considered Peter's feelings and probably didn't want to splinter his relationship with them. That's love. Love isn't how successfully you can produce perfect soundbites and declarations, it's in your actions. It's in the support you show when the only reward is seeing your loved one protected and happy.

For a show about love, so little seem to understand what it even means to really love someone. And the one's that do actually understand and value true love get asked why they bothered coming onto the show in the first place. We live in a very warped world.

Yes yes yes. Thank you for your well worded post. Thank you for sharing your opinion with out bashing or humiliating any one. That’s the difference. It’s is okay to say your opinion. Catherine’s family basically did not like Sean’s lifestyle and did not think he was a good fit for Catherine. But they were open minded. Catherine has compromised more than Sean but she chose that and they appear to have built a great life and community around them.

I still think HS was mocking Madi with a lot of the posts she made. I don't get why. Madi wasn't in charge of what was shown and wasn't shown.

Why did the show not make it more Madi vs HS than run with all those rumors that Peter was with Julie, etc.? Why show basically no interaction between Peter and HS to build their storyline? It just seems like there is so much is not making sense to me.

I agree with you, @atem. Being "unspoiled," which sounds funny now given that the season was unspoilable, the edit showed Peter falling for multiple women. He was initally really into Victoria P. and Kelley, then shifted to Victoria F., but Madi was always a constant in the background, and he fell harder once she was essentially out of his reach. Their step scene after the telenovela date caught my attention; they exuded such comfort, ease, and affection around each other that indicated a nurtured connection. We just weren't seeing it. Funny enough, the telenovela script scene, imo, actually is the script for the rest of their relationship, the whole "You really hurt me, Pedro."

Aside from Elon's departure, has something else shifted BTS? The shows seems very produced now, and the rollercoaster ride for the cast extends beyond the initial weeks of filming. I am starting to wonder if they want the ATFR to be the true finale, as Millsy mentioned in his interviews, which necessitates an inconclusive ending or one built on a very rocky foundation for things to upend. hmmm

I might be connecting the dots a bit to random, but we know that they left together last night. Neither have been seen or heard from today, but she started following Peter and quit following CH. He may be in a good place with a good person.

Madison has liked a few tweets from Tuesday night about how well she handled herself on Tuesday night. Other than that , I think she's staying away from SM .Honestly the more time that pasts without people don't see or hear from them, the more I think they're trying to spend time together figuring out what they are.

I don't understand why Peter didn't stand up more to his parents. He at that time needed to tell his mother and his father to STOP. Put his arm around Madison and tell her in front of everyone how he would protect her and be there for her. I just don't think either of them had their heart completely in it. I don't see how it will work.
