I'm not seeing anything that tells me Peter's mother wanted HS but I have read it several times now. Can someone let me know where that's coming from?

As far as Peter's public appearance compared to Colton, Colton new the outcome, Peter IMHO does not know. Whatever happened, I have no doubt they took it upon themselves to make sure they get it on film, and a lot of shock factor. AKA Arie/Becca fiasco. If RS is right, and they were working on their relationship, I'm sure TPTB planned on resolving it for the viewers live on the ATFR. As many of us have been saying since the beginning, a NO spoiler season, means no ending filmed yet, they'll save that for the live show IMHO.

“I think there is probably one of two things that potentially can happen. I know the possibilities, but I don’t know the outcome,” ABC executive Rob Mills, the network’s head of reality TV programming, tells Variety.

“You really have to watch it live because there’s no way to find out what is going to unfold unless you watch it,” Mills adds. “Nobody knows — not even Peter.”

The season wrapped filming in November 2019, but like many recent seasons, the drama continued to unfold after the cameras stopped rolling.

“It’s going to be pretty unresolved,” Mills says about the two-part finale. “A lot of stuff went down since November when we finished filming, and even now, still up to the minute, it will be live on the show. Honestly.”

I also think Peter's mother crying is most likely about Hannah Ann (even though I currently have no idea why she's being so dramatic about it.) I think this mostly because the press release for the finale implies that Peter's parents firmly stating who they want him to pick has serious consequences for everyone involved. Maybe Madison realizes that his parents want him to pick HA and as a result decides that taking herself out of the picture is definitely the best choice. But Peter has repeatedly said that he "followed his heart" in this process so I can imagine him initially thinking his parents are right (Hannah Ann makes sense on paper; no virginity issue; she tells him she loves him every five minutes) but then eventually realizing that all of that does not matter when the person he actually wants is Madison and that's why he goes after her, etc.

Madi said on their first 1:1 that she wanted Peter to be happy in the end even if it’s not with her. Perhaps after MTP, she thinks Hannah Ann is best for Peter and self-eliminates on their LCD (or they mutually agree)?

According to Fleiss , People will be surprised to know who Peter's mom is talking about. So that tells me it's probably not Madison. Are we certain that when Barbara says that , that they are still in AU and not their home back in LA? because "Fleiss or Mills can't remember which/where I read it" said filming post show was a family event too and some of it took place in the Weber home.

I really don't get why there is any doubt to me. We have PROOF it happens after Madi's MTP date.  We have pictures from Madi AFTER the MTP from the Sun tabloid that made it obvious to me they preferred HS over Madi.  IMO

Madi looked defeated and Peter looked protective and obviously didn't want Madi to leave after that.

We have sleuthed the clothes they were wearing in that scene to be the same as when Peter has his MTP date with Madison.

The process for those dates is for the lead to tell the parents before the first date a little bit about who they will be meeting.  Then after the 2nd date, they sit down and he gets their opinions on the final 2 people.

There is also video of her saying this directly to Peter in those clothes.  The words are coming out of her mouth and Peter is seen sitting right in front of her.

It was said in Australia.  I don't doubt that one bit.

As for Peter letting Madi go, it doesn't look that way to me. We see at the beginning Peter hoping Madi looks him in the eye and feels the same way he feels about her.

I think Madi is realistic about the fact how close she is to her family and he to his and knows it's not going to work. IMO

He is the one that is looking away not at Madi. If he was breaking up with her, it would be the other way around.

Yes. Its foreshadowing. I think Madi and TPTB always knew she would leave as she wasn’t going to work with Peter. jmo

Agreed with this. I think Madi leaves on her own. Peter has also said he “follows his heart up until the very last second” which says to me that he eventually follows his heart and chases after Madi despite whatever his families opinion may be.

I would be completely dumbfounded if Peter's mom is crying "This is what love stories are made out of" in reference to HA. I haven't seen a love story between them. JMO.

Then why would Madi look sad afterward? If it went well, she would be happy.
