IMO, Peter doesn't want to have a relationship with Madi...at least not the relationship that she wants to have. He just wants what he can't have right now, which is Madi.

The constant nose and forehead rubbing comes off as 7th grade puppy love to me. I believe they are in puppy love. The question is whether this can be a lasting adult relationship. I share his parents skepticism.

Peter dad reminds me of Alex Trebeck.
