Bachelorette 16 - Clare Crawley & Tayshia Adams - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

At this point it wouldn’t surprise me it there was a Reddit rumor about Barbara Webber being the new Bachelorette.

Regarding Clare, she is 38 years old. I doubt they would cast men her age or older, and the harsh reality is that if she dated men 10-15 years younger on the show, all the trolls out there would rip her to pieces.

I wouldn't mind Clare. The thing for me is I didn't like her on JPG's season because she is one of those that will play the games. She had no problem pretending that she did have sex in the ocean with JPG which she later said nothing happened. But at the time she played victim.

Bachelor Winter Games - I just knew she was not into Benoit and IMO she just went along for the ride getting engaged and split a couple of months later.

I would like to see her meet someone and fall in love though, but I'm sure it will be drama filled regardless of how old the lead and contestants are.

I m not a fan of Clare being the bachelorette. I think Tia or Kelsey would be better. Did anyone check which one has the most SM followers? The shocker for me would be Madison.

Yeah, if Clare is the lead, she will be crucified by the viewing public for dating all those younger guys that TPTB will cast on the show.  Because I sure don't see them finding 30 guys over the age of 35 to sign on to the show.

The average age of the men in the bachelorette seasons over the years is around 29.  I found a post on reddit done 9 months ago with the following observations of the data:

Hannah's (24) season - average age 27.0
Emily's (26) season - average age 29.8
Trista's (30) season - average age 29.8
Jillian's (29) season - average age 28.5
Jen's (29) season - average age of 29.9
Becca's (28) season - average age of 28.1
JoJo's (25) season - average age of 28.3

Maybe Clare should sign up for "seniors"  (I kid, I kid!)

RS has already said that the men have been casted already. I'm sure there might be a few last minute changes but the men are not picked according to the lead. I'm sure early to mid 20 year old men have already been lined up.

Me too and that's why I really don't think Clare would be the lead.

At age 35, I dated a guy 10 years younger than me.  There were too many life differences for us to even consider a forever relationship.  4 years younger was even stretching it sometimes.

Here’s my opinion on Clare IF she does end up being the “Bachelorette.” Yes, it’s random. And yes, she’s not on anyone’s radar really. But 1) that gives them major shock value 2) gives them some1 older and 3) it kinda puts her as a combination of being the female Arie & Nick

Arie came out of nowhere. He hadn’t even been on Bachelor programming for 5 years. It’s only been 2 for Clare since Winter Games. And Clare has had chances, just like Nick did multiple times, that for whatever reason didn’t work. Would it still surprise me? Absolutely.

This show is all about who has a story they can sell to their audience. And Clare no doubt has a story. Not saying it’s any better or worse than someone else’s story. I’m just saying I can see where they’re going if it does end up being her.

In that interview with Laura he's making it sound that they won't pick a bachelorette until they know how Peter's season ends .because it hasen't been resolved YET. He's throwing us off by making people think it could be Madison or maybe he's referring to Kelsey but said still THREE remaining (then he slips in or 4) IMO
