After hearing the rumors of it could be "this past contestant or that past contestant," I take back everything I said about not wanting Kelsey. I now have a change of heart and want her as the next Bachelorette.

Clare who famously cried to a raccoon on Bachelor in Paradise? From Juan Pablo's season? Seriously? I just can't see that happening, but PLEASE let this be real. I would totally watch an entire season of Clare's messiness. I still think back to that tearful raccoon chat fondly.

What is funny about the Clare thread on reddit is how many posters are asking "who is Clare"?

Another poster has claimed that they know someone that works in the studio building where CH does his voice overs and he heard CH on his phone saying "I need to find someone to watch the bachelorette's dog".  So now they are convinced it is Tia since she has a dog but Tayshia and Kelsey don't. With the dog rumor others think it is Kendall, others are bringing up the Clare rumor.

I just laughed because if it is Tia, she has family that will watch her dog. Same with Kendall.  There is no need for CH to find a dog sitter for an extended period of time.

I’m not here for this at all but I will say this isn’t a standard “Reddit rumor” where user throwaway121212 who created an account yesterday said their friend's brother's dentist's dog's husband overheard Chris Harrison talking about the Bachelorette contenders at Starbucks and recited his exact conversation word-for-word for 6 straight paragraphs (can you tell I’m really over all the Reddit rumors? ) There’s a little more credence to this since it was a screenshot from The Morning Toast spoiler Facebook page (which is a private group) from an actual living person who put her name and face behind what she heard. Now, what she heard could just be wrong, but I think if she were just making something up out of thin air she would've posted it anonymously so she could just vanish when it's proven wrong.

I’m 99% sure it won’t be Clare though. Arie was a fan favorite on Emily’s season and was almost the Bachelor instead of Chris Soules so he was a logical ‘break glass in case of emergency’ pick when they had nobody else after Peter fell through, Dean ruined his reputation on BIP, and Ben H said he wouldn’t do a second season. Clare has been on 4 franchise shows and has managed to look more unhinged and unlikeable in every single one of them (a truly remarkable feat! Even Nick got a redemption edit on his third go-around!), and if they want to pick a past contestant, they have Tia or Tayshia who are more relevant, popular, and have built-in storylines. Clare would be the one pick that would really, truly BAFFLE me and would, IMO, be the moment the franchise well and truly jumped the shark.

I would be excited for Tia. She had a normal relationship out of BN this past year so maybe she will have a successful love story!

Yes, she’s southern but she’s not a beauty queen and I am simply over watching pageant queens

Sorry for the double post, I meant to quote this. Ellen at the time had a studio cam running for hours. We watched that cam endlessly waiting to see who the next bachelor was. We actually saw Brad come on set with Ellen while taping and were able to spoil that info before it was confirmed. I'm not sure if Ellen still has that cam.

Why would they surprise Clare with being the Bachelorette on Ellen? I am sure that people have already sent her this info by now, so it wouldn't be a surprise anyway if it is true. I just don't understand why people make up rumors about this kind of thing.
