Bachelorette New Zealand - Season 1 - Dr Lesina Nakhid-Schuster - Lily McManus - Episodes - *Sleuthing Spoilers *

They ask what did she think of Logan when she first met him. Apparently she is good at asking questions and not so good at answering them. She gives a very generic answer...he has layers, he is interesting, she learns something each time. The brothers don't seem impressed...even if she is a doctor. Logan's parents are happy if he is happy even if dad worries.

Lily shows up to see Richie. She is looking for things about him that only his family can show. They still are discussing the issues from last week and she thinks he should apologize to Lesina...he would be happy to. She can stay here forever and they make out!!!

The brothers are questioning if Logan has fallen for Lesina...he thinks he is starting to. These two are so not really into each other. The way they describe one another is so flat and monotone. Why even bother?

Sister is grilling Lesina. She pulls out a list...10 questions! Lesina getting a taste of her own medicine!!!

Who is her favourite Friend's character...sees herself in Monica.

Rose or beer...not a huge drinker.

Sis is impressed by Lesina but now wants to know if Lesina knows who she will pick. Lesina fudges. Sis asks what are the differences...Logan is very thoughtful, romantic, puts in a lot of effort. Sis doesn't want her brother hurt.

Logan gives Lesina a rose and a kiss. She loves that he is giving everything...even if she looks less than excited talking about him.

Lily is blindfolded and waiting to see Richie. Announcer has to emphasize that they spent the night  in separate accommodations...not FDs yet. He has organized a skydiving date. She is so excited. I wouldn't be! They loved the free floating and she wants to do it again.

Richie wants to talk about the more important stuff, but the announcer says there might be one big problem pointed out soon...

Aaron is not happy about Lesina's attitude in Argentina. He feels hurt and thinks he might have hurt her. She saw a different side to him. She doesn't like the inconsistency and he needs to figure out who he is. If this I don't care attitude is it, this is not someone she wants to be with. He tells her he is glad she let him know so he can get better. She also says she heard him. He is 100% committed and wants to show her how committed he is to their relationship. Brings her a box with their relationship from his point of view...hockey stick from the M&G, wet floor sign from their first date where he spilled the drink, the chess board...where they had their first kiss. Stencils from their second date...his favourite date. Blank canvas represents their future full of possibilities. She is so excited about this. Thinks someone can't do this if they don't care. Want to bet Lesina? Make out. She is totally giddy. He is naturally happy that things are back on track. He is excited to see Lesina sweat a little??? All said with pretty much zero emotion. WTH??? Not as sweet as she thinks he is.

Richie isn't nervous, he is excited about Lily meeting the fam. Will they be worried that she is 10 years younger?

She asks what is their favourite quality of Richie. Pushing them, his creativity, his sense of fun. Richie says the age gap was a concern when he first met her, but not any more and she thinks her maturity is because of her experiences and being on her own. They think they are in the same life stage and brothers are impressed. Neither are looking to be in love in three weeks...that's not realistic.

Parents can't be there and they sent a video talking about Richie when he was 4 dancing to Queen...I want to be Free...and how creative he is.

Lesina goes to meet Aaron's family. He brings up his past and how he used to be a disgusting person who people didn't want to be around. ??? He doesn't want her to see that because he is trying to change and that is not how he was raised.

Parents say all the right things about how what you see it what you get with Aaron and he is a sensitive soul, who doesn't like to show that side of himself. Then they go into his anger issues if you touch a sore spot! Aaron thinks they are throwing him under the bus...

Lesina is wondering if Aaron doesn't want to grow up...and my connection is sucking right at the point that I want to hear what is going on...and I miss the rest.

Lily meets up with Quinn. Thinks they have had a connection since the beginning, but feels something is missing from their conversations...a certain depth.

He is excited to show Lily what he does...driving some car racing thing, but she has never driven a stick. She likes how passionate he is about this. He gives a demonstration and then it is Lily's turn. She is slow to start off, but then gets the hang of things and goes to town. She thinks she has impressed Quinn enough...and she has!

She saw a lot of good qualities while he was teaching her. He brings her a t-shirt for his pit crew for next time she comes to watch him. He is sweet, but you can see something is lacking when comparing her interactions with Richie.

Quinn brings Lily home to meet the family and the dogs.

They say that Quinn falls hard and fast and they hope she can balance him out. They thinks he looks happy. They make fun of him because he has been reading.

They ask what makes him different than the other guys. He has great qualities, good guy, he is descent...all things that any woman wants.

She is confused because they are all so different. She has to prioritize what she wants and needs. She does wonder how they would handle a relationship since his life is here in Hawk's Bay and she would feel guilty taking him away from here. He could move, but does he really want to?

Lesina also has huge decisions to make. Yeah, how to dump them both...

Next time...guys pleading their cases and Jesse again tries to throw Richie under the bus...

Perhaps that’s a clue to what’s missing with Quinn. Lily may be an adventurer, but she also someone with an unpublished novel lying around, and an obscure reference to Kurt Vonnegut tattooed on her forearm.
The distance seems like an excuse, when Richie is much further away from Auckland.

Richie is a creative person with his design projects. Apart from that, he just seems deeper over all.

I've been looking forward to meeting Logan's Mum since we first saw her on his IG.  She did not disappoint!  The exotic French accent was an unexpected bonus.    



Also I am still examining Richie's rings every time he's on screen to find a match for the one Lily was wearing in the kitten IG story.  This is another contender IMO:



ETA:  Holy crap NZ editors did you not notice Lily's right boob was fully visible the entire time she was chatting to Richie in the water?!  Not that I think she'd care.  



Most telling comment of the episode was Lily telling Richie "I'm so glad this show is over" even though there's still a few episodes to go. She's clearly forked it.

@Bobette Is it just me or does Logan's mom look like an older Lily of the future?

I loved her - what a character!  That is a woman who's been to a few Mind, Body and Psychic Fairs in her time IMO.  I could practically feel her reading my aura through the screen.    She's also the main reason Logan got to hometowns, IMO.
