Bachelorette New Zealand - Season 1 - Dr Lesina Nakhid-Schuster - Lily McManus - Episodes - *Sleuthing Spoilers *

For anyone who plans on watching on bachelorarchive, there are technical problems with the first half. If the embedded stream keeps locking as it did for me, try to click on a download link and then on the download icon at the top. Then click on the file once it its downloaded.  It still skips a few parts and the sound isn’t always in sync, but at least you get through it.

Lesina really got a lot to think about this episode. With Marc and Tavita, they are both into her, and there is chemistry, but one is an arrogant pr*ck, and the other a backstabbing liar. Aaron and Steve are so much better choices IMO.

And with Lily, while Terence is just a fun mate to her, things are going a lot better with Quinn if you can trust the preview. I haven’t seen that smile on her for a long time. Did she blush?

I did see only a part of episode 4 and BOY, it sounds like someone recorded the episode from their living room, it’s atrocious in sound, color and definition, not the usual quality standard we expect. Something is wrong with the Russian spies!

In the meantime I did a little more digging into the Astro profile for Marc J. as I pondered WHY she seemed so attracted to him.
Obviously he made quite the entrance with his stripping his shirt. BUT the same gesture would be creepy if there was no natural attraction from her part. I see that despite not having exact info for him, they have their Sun in compatible Earth and Water with hers in Taurus and his in Cancer. That is the first impression of their energy and vitality. Then Marc’s Sun squares her Venus, which increases sexual attraction but challenges their purpose in being together which is to create and express beauty, romantic expression of love and harmony.
It indicates one partner’s goals, life purpose, and personality sometimes clashing with the other’s values, and what they find attractive and desirable.
I also don’t see much good aspects between their Mercury, which rules communication, so I expect some cross wiring coming soon between them. And the final nail is the lack of binding, long term connection with some good Saturn to either personal planets. The fact that they have a double Jupiter square Mars tells me more about the divergent views and beliefs about their direction and goals in life. They are most likely not on the same plane on an intellectual level and culturally I would guess Lesina would not be comfortable or challenged in the right direction by Marc.
It’s fascinating to see it all playing out and used by the clever editing to make a story.
My conclusion: very doubtful that he is in the final 4.

Episode 6

First up Glenn takes Lily for a private walk/chat as she employs a variety of tactics to get it over with as quickly and painlessly as possible (walking fast, holding her glass like a shield in front of her face in case he makes a play, etc).  He tells the camera he was looking for a chance to kiss her and licks his lips.  Ew.  Sorry but... ew.





Lesina pulls Aaron and look at the difference in body language!  He says he was jealous of her time with Marc.  He then tells her about his past dating history and admits he used to be a player.  Lesina senses red flags, but not enough to stop her laying one on him.  I bet the kids in his class were paying him out big time this morning.  





When Lesina is talking to camera her hair seems thicker/longer so this could have been filmed later to flesh out the Aaron storyline IMO.  If he's F2 and Kurt F1 they might be going for a jock/player vs shy/sensitive/family man contrast (not my assessment of their personalities but that seems to be the characters TPTB's manufacturing IMO).



Lily takes Quinn for beers and pool.  He's hot.  She's hot.  The conversation feels real and natural.  He's far more relaxed around her than he was around Lesina IMO.  Lily touches him at every opportunity.  She says she wanted to "spend more time" with him.  Translation: IRL their clothes would be in a pile on the floor by now IMO.  





Next up it's Tavita's turn with Lesina.  It's like speed dating tonight!  He says he doesn't care that Lesina's kissed other guys because that was just "for fun" and he's "for real".  Dom tries to cut in and he puffs up his chest and scares him off.  Tavita implies the guys only kissed her because they were dared to.  Lesina's not happy.





She summons Daryl who reassures her there were no dares.  In the deliberation room Lesina says "at this stage I only get friendship vibes" from Kurt and they flash back to him not getting a rose, but IMO his first SD will sort that right out.  At the RC he gets triumphant music when he receives his rose from Lesina.  Still F1 for me.





Next day, Lesina takes Steve on a shooting-and-stabbing date hosted by a man with a posh British accent and an abundance of Tweed.  They then eat oysters and Lesina says Steve reminds her of her ex (and tells him not to be offended... from which I assume the comparison is not a good thing ).  But he still gets the rose.





Preview for next episode shows Quinn on a date with Lily (post-dirt bikes, I presume).  He asks her if anyone has ever told her how beautiful her smile is.  DUDE.  Shhhhhh.  This is Lily we're dealing with - she doesn't do that mushy stuff.  Also ahead is the spy reveal which should be good but for the record 6 eps of spying is way too much IMO.

Just watching the last few minutes of Episode 6 from when my internet zonked out.

Lesina and Steve throwing knives, then clap pigeon shooting. She whipped his a** at the knife throwing and then made her very first shot, but missed the second. Steve gets both shots. She is very competitive.

Lesina sees a lot of traits in Steve that her father has...sweet, kind...but, feels there is no sexual attraction.

They arrive on a little enclosed patio and are having some raw oysters. Lesina says that she will be a lot more careful about her roses from now on. She wants them to know that she is serious.

Steve is telling her about his past relationships...from 17 to 25. Four months alone and then another 7 year relationship. He reminds her of her ex. He was a nice guy, but it was as if he was living her life and not his. Steve gets it. She asks maybe that could happen all over again. How would they be different. He says he has learned and now has his own goals.

ITM she says with her and Steve it is more of an intellectual, emotional connection and she can be herself and enjoy herself. While she goes off he finishes his dinner and says they have similar values and it is refreshing to meet someone like her. I like him. He is not overly gushing or trying to impress or be the alpha.

Lesina comes back with the rose and he says he forgot about that. She says she forgot a lot of things too because she had such a good day...and so did he. He doesn't think he will get much sleep.

Tavita is still worried and comes clean with Marc about ragging on him with Lesina....that he kissed her because they told him to. Marc is a bit pissed and upset.

In another 10 minutes we start again...

Time to separate the boys from the men. Shouldn't be that hard Lesina.

Liam's birthday. They decorate, but he doesn't like public recognition...or being sung to. I think he does. KFC plug and do a grateful circle.

Tavita opened up about his mom and her mental health issues. He is here now to help her. He gets very emotional. Marc gives him a hug.

Lily is taking someone on a date...Quinn. She likes him. They are going on dirt bikes. He thinks she is sexy. She grew up doing this on the farm. They seem to be having fun and go for a chat in the shed. Some wine and cheese. He hasn't met anyone like Lily and likes her adventurous spirit. He makes her nervous...which she usually doesn't get. He liked their eye contact. Not surprisingly she gives him a rose. She doesn't want it to end...he tells her he loves her smile. She says the car accident damaged it somewhat and he cheekily asks if she can still kiss... Smooth.

She asks if he wants to find out and they make out. He says she is a good kisser and wishes they could do it longer. She says he is a man of many talents and his tongue is one of them.

Guys playing basketball and speculating what is on today...GD.

Flynn, George, Terrance, Kurt, Conor, They get a car and $200 to plan a date with. Ladies will each pick a guy for a date. Kurt manages to get lost and apparently missed the 2 hour cut off. He is disqualified...he wanted to cry.

Terrence does a Mexico theme...for Lily.
George...brie and crackers and there is a mystery box that you don't get to open until the date.
Conor...margaritas, donuts, beer pong, corn chips and salsa
Flynn...skateboard for Lily to teach him.

Lesina picks Conor and Lily ... leaves us waiting.

Lily wants to know what is in the box and picks George.

Off they go. Conor is surprised Lesina picked him and he is still trying to make up his mind between the two bettes.

Conor gives the rules of beer pong and they play. He tells her that he is still deciding. Lesina thinks he is more suited for Lily. He wins the beer pong. She thinks he is more relaxed, but no rose for him.

The mystery box contains swing ball and the game falls on their picnic. Lily gives George a rose. I don't know why. He is MOT and she is clearly not interested in him.

Meanwhile, Logan is back at the mansion setting up a love nest for the cocktail party...

Party time.

Kurt, Logan, Jonathan...made up a song for the bettes...it was actually very cute.

Logan pulls Lesina and even has a blanket. She asks him about his dating history. He has been married for 3 years. She thinks he is romantic and is somewhat interested.

Lily wants to get to know Jesse better. He is good on paper and wants to see if it goes beyond that.

Glenn is again intruding himself, but this time with Lesina. She isn't impressed. He says he wants to get to know them both so he can decide. She basically cuts him off and he knows he has no chance with her. Maybe Lily.

Lesina pulls Marc...still digging about the kiss. Now she brings Tavita so they can all talk. Tavita knows what is up. Time for honesty...admits there is jealousy and apologizes. She asks if this is a game. Tavita thinks she is a unicorn. They admit they are bros. She doesn't know if this is their story and they are sticking to it.

@Sprite was this a typo or do we have another Stu/Carlin situation on our hands?  

RC...Art messes with them. George, Quinn and Steve already have roses. They are all going to Argentina tomorrow...

Everyone is stoked...

Jesse says his smile is as big as when Lily walked into the mansion.

Girls back at their pad...getting ready for the surprise.

They are packed and ready to go when Art arrives. The guys are nervous. Here comes Lesina's other secret...Daryl arrives and some are more nervous than others

Next episode...

Apparently Art lied and someone will not be going to Argentina. Lesina has had her doubts....I think it is Glenn.

They look like they will be having a lot of fun.
