Timm is the only other possible contender from Angie's season IMO, and if he doesn't show up in Paradise then perhaps TPTB are considering it.  His season would definitely be a departure from the norm - which I am all for - though I wonder if he might be one of those people who are better suited to being a contestant than Lead.  A show like Big Brother would be ideal for Timm, IMO.

Can’t see either of these two being the next bachelor. If Timm was the bachelor, where would they source the women from - Nimbin? I’d prefer someone new but that’s JMO.

Entirely possible, yes, but I think the fact that the media printed the pics of Ciarran & Renee in Bali kind of made people assume they were back together so it would have looked stupidly obvious if they split and then "reconnected" on the show.  

I actually think it's more likely they weren't back together at all, that they went to Bali as mates and that Renee is trying to make it look like they're together.  He was on the show WAY longer than her and she might be wanting to mark territory.  

Ciarran may well be single and available to receive offers from Ch 10, IMO.

Ciarran tells P.TV that he’s not back with his ex-girlfriend (and fellow Bachie alum Renee Barrett who was on Matt Agnew‘s season for 0.5 seconds), which is goss that’s been making the rounds lately.

“Yeah, I’ve seen those rumours too. I live in Darwin, it’s a very small place. We’re in the same friendship group. We have hung out but we’re not back together, no. I’m single".

It’s not just Bachie fans that want to see Ciarran step into the Bachie shoes for the 2020 season of the show, Ciarran tells P.TV that he’s keen as hell to do it if it’s an option.

“Yeah definitely, I would take that opportunity. That’s been the question of the day, really,” he laughs. “I haven’t been approached yet. It’s all speculation at the moment but if they approached me, I would definitely go for it.”

I definitely don't see Ciarran as the next bachelor. I think he and his ex/now girlfriend Renee (but pretending to be single or just mingling)? are going to go back on BIP and make a go of it there. Ciarran's age is also definitely against him. They always cast someone 29 or older and I don't see that changing for the male lead. 

If it's a returnee, I don't see that returnee being someone who also goes on BIP. It can work for the women but not for the men imo given no matter how it ends for them on BIP, Bach AU filming would start in March next year and that's before BIP even airs. No one is going to be invested in a BIP contestant who is cast as the Bach lead before they are even seen on BIP. 

I could see them eventually going with a past contestant but I don't see it being any of the contestants from this season and can't think of any viable candidates from the past. So perhaps one day in the future. 

This year they did the non-celeb with Matt (which I loved). So given how they've gone about it for the past few years, it could be they go back to someone more high profile again, even if not a 'celeb' type like Honey Badger and rather someone more genuine or relatable to audiences. I am sure there will be names dropped. I will watch to see what TEN promotes. If they put out promotion for a lead like they did for this year, then it's someone fresh and new, imo, which I'd like (if it's someone genuine like Matt).

I'm doubt TPTB would have the balls to cast Timm as Lead, and I'm not convinced it would be best for him in the long run anyway TBH, but bringing all this over for the record.  

I think we'll know more when we find out whether he's in Paradise or not - if so he won't be Lead IMO.   He's currently in Melb at a friend's wedding but may be on a filming break...

Stop it @Vjeff you'll get my hopes up.  

Timm's season would be off the hook - such good viewing IMO.  I just can't see TPTB having the guts to do it.  Also if he's in Paradise I have my doubts he could be Lead since they'd start filming Bach before Paradise even aired.

That said, his SM is still suspiciously locked down (not being tagged, has only added like 3 people since the finale and all blokes) and I agree, the girls would be lining up IMO.  Go on, do it TPTB, give Timm the role. WE DARE YOU.

Timm Says He’s Keen To Be The Next ‘Bachelor’ And We Love That For Him

Timm Hanly is just now discovering that the real prize in any season of  The Bachelor of The Bachelorette is being a near runner-up. You get all the fame and Insta followers, you get the public sympathy vote after being dumped on telly, and you’re very likely to get a whole season to yourself. What more could an aspiring influencer want?

While doing the media rounds after Thursday’s finale, precious angel Timm stopped by The Kyle and Jackie O Show, and  revealed that he’s keen to have another crack at finding love on TV. It’s several months since the finale of the show taped, and he told the hosts  “I think I’m open to dating again. I think I’ve moved on… I’m in a good place at the moment.”

When asked if he’d take on the role of Bachelor, he responded: “Yeah one hundred percent! Imagine that! It would be a Bachelor circus with me steering the ship.” He said that nobody has approached him about the gig just yet, but he’s “taking it one step at a time.” Honestly, we’d be up for a bit of that as a palate cleanser, especially after Matt Agnew‘s season.

Earlier today, Timm Hanly made a contemplative post to Instagram, musing on how “love is not smooth sailing”. If this is not the next stage of his campaign to be The Bachelor, I don’t know what is. Your move, 10.

@Vjeff @Bobette he's super hot and him in that tux is   (I remember being the first to post pre-season how I thought he was hot and that was when he was unknown so I can take props for making that claim first right? ) What's even hotter is how kind, caring, compassionate, and wonderful Timm is jmo

Another thing which just occurred to me - Bach was NOT on Sportsbet's list of "next shows" for Timm, only BiP.  Ciarran's odds were too long for him to be on the shortlist IMO but for Timm not to have Bach 2020 listed suggests to me TPTB are considering him.

If Timm were Lead IMO they should announce him before applications close, and/or do a LOT more considered, targeted casting - he's not going to be everyone's cup of tea and I really want to see him find someone uniquely suited to him as an individual.
