I hope I am doing this right but according to SocialBlade as of yesterday Tyler's following count was 
2,198,118. So he gained about 2,000 today so far.

IMO, he's not buying followers. A couple things happened in a short span of time:

1) Peter (who's the next bachelor) hung out with Tyler and Peter himself posted a video of them all dancing. That video got over 1M views and thousands of comments.

2) Tyler posted the same video onto his TikTok, which is going semi-viral. He's gotten almost 700K views and gained over 35K+ TikTok followers in one night. He's getting some new followers on IG from their discovery of Tyler on Tiktok

3)E News is circulating his name as he clearly drives a lot of traffic and revenue onto their website and SM for them to always name drop him. E news made 2 articles about his removal of show pictures and E News also reposted Peter's dancing post, thereby circulating Tyler's name even more.

When he's not hanging with BN or when he is back in NYC, his followers will start to taper again. It will increase again when Peter's season is airing. It will increase even more if he live tweets/IG story during the show. And even more, if Tyler and Peter watch the show together for an episode.

Not sure if you can tell but on Reddit they were saying they could tell he is buying followers.

Usually bought accounts are those egg heads or accounts without many followers following or posts. I have no idea if this is still the case, it might have changed over the years.

I disagree. I don’t think any of those things would cause that many people to follow him on ig right now. They also all followed him at the same time. You could see the followers increase per second. He’s already tapped out the BN fanbase. And all of those actions with Pete would not make new people run to follow him on Instagram. All JMO

If it slows down now that he’s back at 2.2, I believe he bought them to get back to 2.2. JMO

@GuardianAngel probably still the same. But I’ve also heard that companies have started to purchase ig accounts.

With all this happening at the same time, maybe he just has new PR or a social media manager.

Checked on the computer and most of Tyler's followers are real accounts not eggs. I went to some of the public ones at random and the show that Tyler (and in some cases Peter as well so that video is getting some hits) was their last follow. Probably got to do more research but the little I have done these don't seem like bought accounts. You guys can check for yourself just doing some bored research on my own. All jmo.

@Summerfun1980 @smg2587 totally agree with both of your posts.

They are no longer eggs.  There are many companies out there that you can buy followers that are active/engaged users.  A quick google search will give you examples. IF he did it, he may not even be aware that his PR team bought followers.  I think most of this new is PR driven.  All IMO.

I think some private communication happened between Tyler and Hannah within the last few weeks (either after PCAs or recently) that left him unhappy. Who knows exactly what, we may never know. Maybe he wanted to give their relationship another go and she declined - we can't know.

If he was indifferent he would not have removed her pictures. Jed is obviously indifferent toward Hannah now and he still has her pictures up. Dylan, Tyler's close friend, also just unfollowed Hannah. The timing of Dylan's unfollow with the removing of the Hannah pictures from Tyler's instagram is suspicious.

Also, it's quite obvious to me that Tyler is buying followers. He falls below 2.2 million a few days ago and he's all of a sudden back to 2.2 million? Ok, then. Not that there's anything wrong with that, they all buy followers. JMO

@Tiggerlgh yes. I read an article recently about Kim k doing that and other big celebs. Less noticeable that you are buying.
