they accentuated the doubts about Jed. jed is not very articulate and has difficulties to express himself (I know many men the same) and of course the contrast with Hannah who is bubbly and hot temper make it difficult to watch. I personally saw a man in love who was devastated that her parents did not like him.

IMO in order to add the final drama which is always... the lead picked the one that is less loved by the general public...

And I saw a man who doesn’t look in love, he rarely smiles with her, his eyes have no spark when he is around her, ( he actually looks down an awful lot), doesn’t look excited at all to be with her. He seems more preoccupied with how HE is looking than how he is really feeling and connecting with her. He frankly looked scared and upset after the parents talk and he showed his disappointment in them not buying his platitudes. He’s so used to have Hannah gobbling up what he says, it took him by surprise to be challenged by her parents.. I’m also convinced that they had done a little research on him before coming in to meet him, thanks to Patrick and his Nashville connections, and he didn’t expect that to land on him that way.

I also think that Hannah was even more aware now, watching this episode, of all the signs that are obvious on our screen and that she could not see because she was IN the picture. With the perspective she has now, it must be like a PTSD effect to watch all this back. No wonder she looked distressed at the end...she knows she must face him again and relive the feelings she was fighting; the doubts, the fears, the hopes, the rationalizations, followed by the anger and betrayal that followed shortly after. He took a lot of her hopes, dreams and energies away from her and in the same token prevented someone else to have her full heart and focus earlier.

I also do not see a man in love re Jed. his body language and eyes tell the story. IMO If he is F1, there must be some scenes on the cutting room floor where he looks better. Because otherwise I do not see why Hannah would get engaged to him. She can't be that blind.

@sosleepy Thank you for saying this. I keep saying she's only 24. She's the youngest Bachelorette they have ever had. I think the amount of bravery she has shown is amazing. I can't imagine how hard this whole experience has been for her. I know I would be a mess. She is constantly subjected to ridicule by strangers for her every decision that she makes. She is called names and I for one am shocked that grown adults are often her hardest critics. Why? Don't you have kids? Daughters? She is someone's daughter, sister, loved one. I realize she has made many mistakes during this show, but I will not be the one to throw stones. I can't imagine her not feeling damaged in some way by this experience. I'm sure it will take her a long while to want to date again if this ending leaves her single. I have nothing but sympathy for her. [and the other men that went along this journey with her]
