I love this!! I love that he would stop on his own and not continue any further without needing Hannah to constantly reaffirm her boundaries with him over and over. He really is just amazing.

Man. I’m so sad for Hannah she missed out on him.

Just told my husband Tyler will probably be the bachelor now.

I think I’m having such a hard time with this one because there is so much unrealized potential here. Other Bachelor breakups happened because they ran their course - they were over and you can kind of realize it had a chance and couldn’t make it. Moving along. This one feels abrupt and like it ended before it was even given a chance. She had just begun  to realize everything about Tyler, was just starting to wake up to real feelings for him. But she ran out of time and made such a colossal mistake based on first (wrong) impressions and assumptions.  To not have a second chance to even try with Tyler, and to let all that unrealized potential go hurts.

Sorry, but I'm not buying it. Until the last moment of ATFR, no way don't they at least give it a try. Its exactly this, unrealized potential...and still clear feelings on both side IMHO. This ain't just friendship.

I wonder who is against dating? Maybe Hannah just doesn't feel secure enuf to be with a model? Maybe where they live is an issue?  He seemed so sure she was his one, and he had seen her at her worst during the season, so I doubt anything that's come out since would have been that big a deal. I can accept that perhaps initially Tyler was not her type, but I think all that melts away when you really get to know someone. My type was always dark Italian guys...married a blonde Irishman, ....and feel very lucky indeed...

If in fact their recent sm is all an act to pimp the show, well then they're not who I thought they were. And if it's sincere, then I think one or both are crazy not to give themselves a shot....they have a lot more together than many couples. I really wish we could be privy to the truth.....I.need.closure.       Not that it's any of my business

@Billysmom unpopular opinion here but I think Hannah. I think maybe she just didn’t fall for him. I don’t question Tyler’s sincerity. But I don’t put it past Hannah and the producers to use Tyler to promote this dumpster fire of a season. Hannah has no other cards to play when it comes to promotion. I’m sure she likes Peter fine. But Assuming she actually dumped Peter after screwing him in a windmill, she can’t use him. People seem to be brushing the ex story under the rug and still think he’s a good guy. Using him would be worst than Tyler and she would surely feel the wrath from the public. JMO

I don’t think she thought he’d propose? I think she assumed jed was her f1 and the path was free & clear for him after Luke. And I think she felt confident in jed bc she’s used to that type of relationship and felt like it was what love was. I don’t think she thought Tyler was f1 ever.

As far as what’s happened now, I think it’s super banal and there’s no mystery here. They were experiencing some bubble sparks towards the end but now it’s been 2 months, she’s had all the jed stuff, Tyler has a new life in nyc, etc etc etc. I think if she had chosen him initially, they could have been something but to reconcile months later? It’s too much of a hill to climb altho I’m sure Hannah would really really REALLY like to try again.

The Viall Files was done before the People Magazine article and breaking up with Jed. I don't think some of the things she said then are as relevant now. As an engaged woman, is she supposed to talk about being conflicted about her decision and that she might have made a wrong one. I can't imagine that she is not feeling some regret concerning Tyler -- especially since she was so wrong about him.

I think it may be a little different with Tyler because she realized she had feelings for him she didn't have the time to explore those feelings with Tyler. If she would have gotten rid of Luke way back things might be different today.

Why not let Tyler go and keep Peter for F2? What does bringing Tyler to F2 do for her that she couldn’t get from bringing Peter to F2?
