Agree the promo for The Bachelorette is too long! Doesn't mean long promo will make viewers dying to tune in. Sometimes interest will fall off if the wait is too long

Getting back to betting odds. Are there any other betting sites other than Sportsbet with odds listed for Matt’s season?
I know there were a few different betting sites for Ali’s season that were posted and were very accurate and more than Sportsbet.

Ladbrokes - no. Haven't seen any others either. This seems to be a case of Sportsbet jumping the shark solo.AllAboutLove wrote:Getting back to betting odds. @Bobette interesting
I wonder if TPTB were able to keep more things under wraps this season. I have low hopes but stranger things could happen. I’d assume the betting sites will all know soon who is F1 if they don’t already.
I’m thinking perhaps betting sites are just waiting closer until the premeire date when interest in the season is higher.

Oh yes
I personally think, with all the hype around the smart girls being released and so many people on SM saying Chelsea is his perfect match (because she's sciencey and nerds only like other nerds? ) $port$bet saw an opening to, in Will Byrne's words "maximise betting opportunities" by opening a market early with high max bets.
They've got their standard "the result may be known in advance" and "more girls may be added" disclaimers in place so why not? When people complain that F1 wasn't even an option at this stage they can then just refer to Rich Hummerston's comments to Mamamia that early betting on Chelsea merely makes her the favourite at this stage.
Just like they were quoted in the media saying the early betting on Sophie's season made Luke the favourite at that stage (conveniently ignoring the fact that betting on Stu F1 wasn't even an option). One way or another this season is going to tell us a lot about Sportsbet's inner workings and money-grabbing strategies, IMO.

Could someone with a betting account please check the max bet for the person Sportsbet has given the lowest odds to for AU Survivor? Just thought it would make an interesting contrast to Chelsea's odds and max bet. 3.0 still seems like Luke-style red herring odds to me, especially with such a huge max bet.

Re: Bachelor Australia - Matt Agnew - Season 7 - Betting Odds - *Sleuthing Spoilers*
Survivor is a bit different, in that the winner announcement is filmed live, but the F2 are known, and the other members of the jury all talk amongst themselves, so they have a fair idea who wins, but it's not definite.
On the current odds it's set out about the same as Bach was before they took it down. The current person with the lowest odds has a massive max bet of $200 but a max loss of $100, and everyone else has a max bet of $20, so the second lowest odds person also has a max loss of $100, and then all of the others have increasing max losses from there.

Thank you very much for clarifying, @Dirty Street Pie.
No clear favourite at this stage then (despite them trying to make it appear otherwise with the very short odds at the top of the table). Max bets certainly do put things into perspective, don't they?
No wonder Sportsbet don't want people getting too "hung up" on max loss figures; it spoils their little game.

Thanks @Enough - those max bets certainly put things into perspective rather than just looking at the odds in isolation.
