I have seen tonnes of ads casting for bachelor 2019 so i think that's pretty safe imo.

Was that in NW? I read same but I think they jumped the gun because all the likely contestants are still buzzing around locally. Possible though that TPTB are there setting equipment for the actual filming to start early Nov IMO.

As @brownravens says, they need Bach and Bette to provide the fodder for BiP so here's hoping BiP rates well because they're all tied up in the same parcel. Can anyone recall how well the first BiP rated compared to the main show?

ETA: OK answering my own question, it seemed to rate pretty well, but not better than the main shows last year.

If Bette is cancelled, that’s down to TPTB casting a sh*t lead in Nick and giving Ali a bad lead in, and casting an unpopular lead in Ali, and not listening when the bulk of the feedback on her announcement wasn’t good. They had plenty of time to rectify that, and they chose not to.

I still don't understand why they didn't drop her (and even less, why she didn't withdraw herself).

Ali was never going to be able to come back from such a bad start IMO. She's like the Scott Morrison of Reality TV. laugh out loud

It seems to me they'll need a cracker of a season for BiP 2 to restore network confidence in this franchise. :fingersarecrossed

ETA: Just went back to the DM article and read some of the comments - the top rated ones are on point IMO.

People are not watching because she is about as interesting as watching wet paint dry (sorry to be rude)... The information the ex Grant released about her behaviour on the staircase is just gross and so therefore makes her unwatchable. Shame they did not cast someone else as the show is usually great. I am not sure even the guys on the show want to win her as the prize.

The producers need to stop pulling favours for wannabes and stay clear of contestants that have been on tv before and/or feature heavily on social media. We don't want to watch a group of supposed strangers only to discover most have dated/shared same social circles as all the other contestants and are obviously pursuing fame, not love. It stinks of fake. Unfortunately the rot set in ages ago and this bachelorette Ali demonstrates just how much of a complete joke these shows have become.

It's not the back to back formula, or viewer fatigue. No one wanted to watch Ali.. it was Ali Fatigue!!! Would have been so refreshing to have an unknown Aussie gal with a great personality- there are so many out there!!!!

One of the contestants on The Bachelorette reportedly 'slept with a man' before appearing on the dating show.

On Wednesday, hit105 breakfast radio presenter Matty Acton claimed 'a friend of a friend' once had a sexual encounter with one of Ali Oetjen's handsome suitors.

The alleged encounter happened before the unidentified man began filming The Bachelorette earlier this year.

'A friend of a friend - it is legitimate, I have met them - he has slept with one of the guys on The Bachelorette,' Matty announced.

'So one of the guys is bisexual?' asked his shocked co-host Abby Coleman.

'Yes, it would appear,' Matty replied.

Ummm who cares if one of the guys is bisexual or fluid? I hated this being a storyline with brooke but at least that was her divulging the information. I hate this even more as potentially outing someone against their will..

That sounds like a nothing story really. No one was outed against their will. Not one name was even mentioned. It’s just radio show presenters talking garbage to fill in a couple of minutes in their show. And then DM who love to sensationalise everything have jumped on it and tried to make something out of nothing.

This exactly. If a contestant wants to state they are bisexual or gay or date someone of the same sex, that's their prerogative. This forum is not for outing or questioning a contestant's sexuality. If they want to divulge it it's their choice and that's fine. But no need to be outing or guessing or questioning someone's sexuality. TY

On SM one person who dated him/knew him said he was keeping his child a secret and had nothing to do with his child and it was his choice and even his close friends didn't know he had a child. Seems like it's him choosing not to be there for his son which is horrible and sad imo.

It's so crazy how Charlie went on the show and night one saying "I want kids," when he already has a child that he seems to have nothing to do with!!
