Nick actually said 1 -11 October but not sure if he means leaving Sydney or starting Trek. Flight stopovers in Brisbane can make for a long trip so I imagine they have left Sydney.

The whole 'fleeing the country' because he has split with F1 is such lazy journalism. The date for Kokoda has been set since what... April last year? Something like that anyway.

The trek has been set last year.... but not TEN who could decide when to air the season since Masterchef (credit to a member here for the reminder) ended 2 weeks before the premiere

so 2 weeks prior the premiere means he was able to attend the finale and do the media round.

that was negociable and TEN knew his commitment prior the taping. IMO

The date the 15 August was first announced on 23 July. That would mean that Nick and the F1 were over prior to that date. I’m sure, and I could be wrong, that Nick stated he was a taken man after this date.

They may have some kind of creative idea set up for the whole media tour. I wouldn't be surprised.

They have stated that they will be on social media throughout the trek

It all comes to the rumors: are they right or not?

It was rumored that it was soon after the finale. Soon after the finale is not july IMO, it would be first 2 weeks of june IMO. Plenty of time to edit and set up a premiere date IMO
