It seems like Nick 'Honey Badger' Cummins is doing nothing to hide the fact that he has 'split' from the winner of The Bachelor.

With just days left until viewers watch him pick his dream girl during the finale, the 30-year-old has fled Sydney on a private plane for a wild trip with his mates.

Rather than keeping a low profile so fans can hold on to hope his relationship with the winner, rumoured to be Brittany Hockley, is still going strong, Nick has started documenting his day at Deni Ute Muster 2018 in Deniliquin, NSW.

In one of Nick's Instagram Story videos shared on Friday, the rugby union player appeared in high spirits as he boarded a private plane with a group of male friends.

Another clip featured him toasting a bottle of beer to the camera while riding a golf buggy around the iconic Deni Ute Muster festival.

With much excitement surrounding the show's finale next week, Nick's choice to attend the festival, alongside an estimated 20,000 other people, is very telling.

Last year's event featured naked mud dancing, gas-powered beer bongs and public spanking.

This isn't naturally the environment you'd expect to find someone about to go public with the love of their life after months of hiding their apparent romance.

More details are coming out regarding the casting application for 2019.  This one is a head scratcher to me:

Journalists need not apply, as being employed by or contracted with news organisation is strictly prohibited.

I guess they didn't have that rule when Georgia was Lead?   I'm always curious so know what prompts such changes...

Oh and get this:

Applicants must also agree that the 'producer may edit or adapt such footage in any way it sees fit'. Furthermore, producers may exploit 'your voice, name, image, likeness, acts or omissions' for the purpose of producing the program.

Yeah RIGHT - no thanks!

They probably don’t want journalists reporting on the audition process because in previous years they have reported on the invasive questions asked etc. Makes sense though. As if you want everything from behind the scenes exposed.

I still think it's definitely on the table and the fact that he's being described as "heartbroken" in the media buildup to Brooke's exit makes it entirely plausible IMO that he could choose no one and people would think it was fair enough because he couldn't get the girl he wanted (even though IMO he didn't want Brooke, nor vice versa, but oh my wouldn't it be a very convenient excuse...?)  

There was even a sportsbet market for "chooses no one" which one of our members spotted (it was only up for a day, then dissappeared).  Too much of a spoiler perhaps....?  TBH the ending that would be the most satisfying for me is he picks no one and is back with Martine.  If it's true that he's with someone he's "loved from the beginning", I can't see it being anyone from the show.

this is my theory for a long time and shared on this board multiple times... Brooke left, nobody else matters.

a theory is that Nick who was very horny as he shared on radio, picked Brit and dumped her immediately after the FRC. Stayed overnight and met sophie at his hotel and left right after. It would mean he is a real A$$ and I am not really buying this theory. I think leaving for Japon to get more $$ to pay for his family health care means he is not an A$$.... but is he a true nice guy in terms of women? Or serious in a relationship but not when he picks girls at bars because both know the drill that it is a one night fling.

What I really dislike is his sharing he was horny etc. That is so rude and inappropriate. I really cannot stand it. But if I try to go over it, I may think that being a footy player, used of groupies waiting for the team after each play...

My gut feeling remains the same. Brooke left. She was the F1. He was contractually to go up to FRC, regardless of the ending. Once done, he moved on with his life. Was Brooke the love of his life? Sure not! But I believe she was the only one, he was interested to move on after the show.

As I said... Sophie was lust, Brit was good on paper but Brooke was the girl he could not stop being around (proven with the time he spent with her and the jealous comments by the girls).

if he picks noone. Then I am happy with this ending as it fit what I saw.

These rules regarding how the producers (technically the editors) can make a contestant/lead however they want are standard and are the same the world over and been this way for years  Nothing new here Welcome to "reality" television

Eta: The journo thing is definitely Channel Ten related ensuring no one that isn't with them is on the show and even if with TEN they'd have to quit their job before applying (similar to GL who had to quit to be the Bette).

is it really new??? I thought it was standard contract.

The bit about not being a journalist must be new because Georgia was a newsreader in Tasmania when cast for her season.

It's not new. It's a standard contract. I think it's only becoming more known now in Australia whereas this has been known for many more years in the USA/CAN etc. When they sign their contract they are literally agreeing to be made into anything the show wants to make them into. 

I used to feel bad but not so much anymore because it is quite obvious that many of the contestants will go back for more (more shows) even the ones who complain about edits etc go back. This is because most of the contestants care more about getting followers on instagram, $$$$, being on TV, shilling sponsored stuff, etc than they do anything else. The price of being an influencer/fame comes with a cost and they are willing to make that trade-off.
