Senior Pup looks at me like, "Don't bother putting my plush expensive Canada Pooch dog coat on because there's no freaking way I'm going out in that." laugh out loud

My son bought him this. This isn't him, but it's the coat.

@MiniDiva I did carry him, and put him down in an area that I shovelled for him. He briskely walks back and forth "I gotta go but it's too cold" laugh out loud

This is what I woke up to this morning. As of an hour ago or so huge flakes were coming down, you'd think it was December. hmmm

Some real smart American Robin's built a nest underneath the roof of my covered porch. They are safe and away from this crazy weather. They built it so well I can't see inside. The last time I had a bird's next, I was able to take a picture of the eggs, but not this time. The nest is well protected and built pretty high. I tip toe when I go out there, but she flies away, lands on the fence and won't stop chirping until I leave. laugh out loud

Eerily beautiful, GA. It must be hard to face winter in mid-April. When I was a grad student in Boston, one winter lasted from early October through early May - and by winter, I mean snow. I had one winter coat and I couldn't even get it dry cleaned as I couldn't go without it for even a day. It sure made me appreciate nicer weather though. And I didn't drive - just took the 'T' and walked wherever I had to go. That was a big plus as I think driving in snow is very hard.

I had just had my winter tires off last Thursday. Luckily the roads were clear but my car had a ton of snow on it. Cleaning it off is a major pain!

There were more flurries today but tomorrow it will be in the low 60's. Go figure.

I love Boston! The city, not the hockey team. Smiley

Oh my gosh! I'm already getting nervous for the people in the path of hurricane Ida. I hope everyone evacuates but especially hope all the people in the hospitals stay safe. sad

Late Friday afternoon, the NHC issued hurricane warnings for parts of coastal Louisiana including New Orleans. Storm surge and tropical storm warnings were in effect for parts of the Louisiana coastline as well as across the border into Mississippi and Alabama on Friday as concern mounted about the potential for Ida, which had just strengthened into a hurricane early Friday afternoon, to strike as a major hurricane on Sunday. AccuWeather forecasters, expecting extreme impacts for the Gulf Coast, have rated Ida a 4 on the AccuWeather RealImpact Scale for Hurricanes.
AccuWeather forecasters are warning residents and businesses from the Texas coast to Louisiana and the panhandles of Mississippi, Alabama and Florida, as well as fishing and petroleum operations, to closely monitor the progress of the intensifying storm and heed all warnings and evacuation notices from officials as Ida will strengthen rapidly along its path toward the U.S. Gulf Coast.

And I'm worried about all those people with COVID in the eye of the storm. Superspreader opportunity. Hurricane Katrina was 16 years ago - hard to believe. Hopefully, all the infrastructure improvements will do what they are supposed to do.

And how about the air quality in the west from all the damn fires? Emerald Bay - Lake Tahoe

This is how it looks usually, and the last time I visited.

We have had smoke in our skies for a month but it has worsened the last few days. I have a headache which I attribute to the smoke. We've been running our Blue Air on top speed and it does help.
