Bachelor Australia Season 6 - Nick Cummins - SM Media #2 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

I'll post a few interesting comments from Nick and the Interviewer.

MH: So why do I get the sense that Cummins is fed up already (even before our interview I noticed that he hasn't included mention of The Bachelor on his social media profiles)?  
There's also the major possibility that perhaps he didn’t find love following the whole over-produced ordeal. Or maybe he’s just sick of talking about his love life for 48 hours straight (“7 days actually mate” Cummins corrects me straight off the bat).

MH: If you had to choose one woman to write in your own dream journal, any woman in the world that you could manifest, who would it be?

NC: I’d create her myself. It wouldn’t be one of the ones on the show that’s for sure!
Mate I wouldn’t put my money on 99 per cent of those girls.

MH: How are you dealing with the mayhem of the Bachelor?

NC: Dodging all kinds of carry-on, paparazzi taking a picture of you picking your nose. I’m just getting away and getting off grid.

When he is the one calling the shots, he's happy being a well known Aussie personality. However The Bachelor is a whole new experience. Not only will he have to protect himself, but he will have added responsibility for loved ones.

nick Said he was hoping to find different kind of girls he find in bars... not sure what he expected they came from. Pretty much everyone goes to bars. I guess he is used to groupies looking to scratch a mark for sleeping with a celebrity...

IMO nick is jaded and a smooth operator. I am not sure he could really fall for any of them when he spend most of the day doing the activity, and the other kissing or exchange few sentences. For him, imo, it was exactly the same as meeting a girl at a bar: small talk, cruising, kissing and voila! Where is the bedroom the nearest? Except his little head was very frustrated... so much so that nick felt the obligation to share with everyone that he had multiple bonners.... so much respect for his F1

We always say that the lead favor conversion with his F1... guess Britt was frustrated because it was animal after animal... and the pics on the camel date looks exactly the same. No talking, no interest.

Nope.not feeling it one bit.

I'm not seeing what you guys are seeing. Maybe it's because I am used to Aussie men like Nick? From my experience, the ones that are REALLY Aussie like that are very respectful of women. He is said to be very clean living and obviously has a history of long term relationships with no cheating scandals. His ex has nothing but nice things to say about him.

Also, I have been watching the dates and taking no notice of the commentary (because that is edited) and I see a LOT of touching initiated by Nick on Britt's dates. They sit right next to each other and he finds all sorts of reasons to touch her... even when it looks awkward. In contrast, he sits far away from Brooke on the couch and doesn't seem to need to be constantly touching like he is with Britt.

There is a series of photos on one of the pap sites that show Nick sitting between Brooke and Britt on the Segway date and he has his whole body turned towards Britt with his knee and arm/elbow kind of blocking Brooke. That's really major body language right there.

There was an example during the car race date, Nick walked Britt to the car with their arms around each other but only walked beside the other 3... that was shown on the episode.

I highly suspect that they are downplaying the edit of what Nick says about Britt and scaling up what he says about Brooke. They did the same thing on Matty J's season.

Anyway, I understand the way he speaks and, to me, he is coming across very protective of all the girls in the house. He is speaking honestly, reassuring them, giving them all a chance and saying what he needs to say without beating around the bush. I am really enjoying watching him, I think he's impressive.

ps. I do believe that a lot of the 'writers' putting out articles are young city dwellers who don't get Nick at all and are probably only half following what he is saying and missing the fact that he is most likely having fun playing with them. He is FAR from stupid.

@stoneleigh  Being another Aussie, I totally agree with you. Nick and Britt have more in common than other combinations. Neither want to settle down just yet and both love adventure. Brittany is an attractive, intelligent young lady who doesn't 'need' a man. She sold her house and belongings to travel the world for well over 2 years pre The Bachelor.

Nick helps his family in an admirable way. He doesn't need a woman to make his life complete.
However, together they would share different experiences, not necessarily hand in hand where they would 'smother' their relationship. I believe they would become an 'in demand' couple.

The other girls don't have the same independent, adventurous qualities.

@stoneleigh, @Cheriden, I completely agree - Britt is Nick's best match out of the available girls IMO; I just don't get the impression she knocked his socks off.  

I'd like to know why he broke up with Martine.  I get the feeling he's seeking that kind of love again, but the chances of finding it on this show were always slim IMO.

I don't think he is motivated by monetary opportunities to do The Bachelor either. He has had his contracts with Tradies, NatGeo, Amarok, GoPro, etc for a while. It's nothing new.

Yeah. When relationships end for those kind of reasons (distance/different roads to travel) but you still love each other, it can be very difficult to start afresh with someone new.

That's interesting. I thought he went to Japan to play rugby for lots of $$
