Bachelorette 14 - Becca Kufrin - Episode 9 - July 23rd - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

I haven't watched tonight. Haven't watched "live" many times this season, but catch up spoiler free on Hulu the next day. Anyway, just remember edit and TPTB. I definitely see the Blake connection and get sucked into his heartbreak as F2. That is what the show wants. They've definitely made me have the feels the last 2 years (Peter and now Blake), despite me being completely spoiled. It's a gift I tell you, or an evil and sick edit maneuver. I think it is the former and the latter.

I see Blake in love. I know he is authentic (the new "word" for "right reasons"), but I have seen on Reddit and it kinda describes the scenario, that Becca was more in love with the way Blake loved her rather than actual love. Not saying she is "in actual love" with Garrett. I don't see it from the edit, the daddy comparisons bother me and knowing his Instagram history...I actually find Becca very hard to read. Not with her dismissal/non-interest in guys, but when she IS interested. Maybe I'm just delusional. My track record of likes for Bachelorette:

...in and out before that, but watched the first Bachelorette and wanted Ryan. Go team!

Possibly, but Becca "woke up" with a solid hour's worth of makeup on -- false eyelashes, eye liner, perfect lipstick, foundation, blush, contour, etc. I would love to know what lipstick they use on her because that stuff sticks better than a monkey jump. Her morning after makeup looked much more muted when she woke up with Garrett, but that might have been the humidity.

When I wake up with the previous evening's makeup on, I look like I've been mugged.

I didn’t watch because I’m on vacation but for once am more interested in the MTA than the finale. It seems that Becca is giddy with Garrett which I don’t get but each to their own. I really do hope it works out for Becca’s sake. I will watch to see how it all plays out but am definitely Team Jason for TB. 

Bottom line I think she’s just been way more into Garrett from the beginning. From her giddiness over his van entrance to his love of the outdoors, to First impression Rose, to comparing him to her Dad, his salt of the earth appeal and that he himself would ben a “hot” Dad. She’s just always really been feeling him. She works at it more with him, telling him he’s sexy driving the tractor or that she had a great view on the raft. I’ve seen very little of that Becca with the other guys. She WANTS Garrett to like her. IMO after his first one on one, it was always going to be Garrett unless something came crashing down. All of this I’m in love with two is total show IMO. She’s most worried about being the jerk who has to hurt Blake. It was always going to be Garrett and lucky for her, I think Garrett fell for her in return. She just had a show to put on in the meantime and struggled with being the decent person she is in the process.

My first time watching since Episode 4 and all I have to say is I'm very glad I didn't lose my time, Becca is a very bad Bachelorette. Hope they dissapear as quick as possible from my tv Screen and go and be "happy" elsewhere.

I also read this in SM and I agree I prefered someone that overthinks things in comparison to someone that does things mindesly.

IMO "SeekAny" you have summed this up very accurate. I believe that Garrett is the one she decides she "can not live without". I saw her pull towards him as the strongest from the moment he stepped out of that van. IMO they will continue together and maybe even have their wedding before most of the other Bachelorette couples. IMO both Becca and Garrett are very real and caring people. It is hard for me to understand how this is missed by some. There is joy on both of their faces when they are together. This season has stood out to me as one of the best and most real.

Blake and Becca definitely had sex.

IMO it is impossible to know a person's mentality that I do not know. Even those I know I would never say cruel things about. From all I have seen of Garrett he is very smart IMO and has a caring heart. The men he spent a lot of time with on the show have not stated even one bad comment about him-in fact they have done the opposite.

He might be smart I have no clue but the way he talks makes him sound dumb JMO

My thoughts:

Chang Mai, Thailand -- when the show hits the road, I am in my happy place. I loved all the dates, loved the scenery, and even felt a sense of appreciation for the set decorators who put in so many hours. Can I have that job? I think it would be fun to spend my day draping yellow flower garlands everywhere.

Blake -- Blake once again took up a short term rental inside his own brain, where he sat on the sofa and fretted over his rivals. I give him credit for being more perceptive and introspective this week. I thought that he was able to express his thoughts and feelings very nicely. Becca gave him credit for being the most solid and the most consistent, which in Becca-speak means that he's been all-in for her the longest. I've  been starting to wonder in the past few weeks if she really didn't have adequate time to recover from her relationship with Arie. Her hot button issues appear to be honesty, being all-in, and not being blindsided (or blindsiding others,) which strike me as being leftover issues from her previous engagement. She seems to not have a lot of energy left to worry about other things.

I enjoyed their hike and the visit to the temple. Their suite was beautiful.

Jason -- It was interesting to see Becca finally grasp the obvious, that Jason was going to be her F3. She not only started shutting down on him verbally ("In that moment, I couldn't see him in that future,") but also physically, by walking away. You could also see her shutting down on him at dinner via the expressions on her face. I thought that Jason made a very good point about letting their relationship play out, and I think if Becca were in a better head space, she might have done just that. But she just couldn't do it at that point in time.

His return to her after his dismissal was yes, a Bachelor audition, but he didn't necessarily know that. There was one brief moment where the expression on his face was so raw, open, and vulnerable. When he had talked to Becca previously about his high-rise Seattle condo, it sounded very appealing to me, and I think it is a vision that will appeal to many women.

Garrett -- Garrett got the best date of the bunch, and I don't think that was by accident. I loved the river rafting and the elephants were adorable. I saw genuine enjoyment on Becca's face when she was talking with him. She looks very happy when she is with him. As for the overnight, what is it about Becca and tents? Garrett is not the most verbose individual, but I do feel that his emotions are genuine. I'm just left wondering if they will have enough to talk about when the camera lights are off.

Funniest moments -- The expressions on Blake's face and on Garrett's face when the other man accepted his rose from Becca. They do not want to share. Also, Blake needing to use the bathroom. I feel ya' on that, buddy.

Usabachelorinsider have a post with 2 photos next to each other which I thought was Becca and G but on closer look and reading caption the photos are of B & G with their prev partners. IMO M&G attraction was instant because of the physical likeness from prev loved ones plus memories of father etc. I’m not a G fan since the sword.com ad but I acknowledge B & G rapport during filming and would be happy if I thought the relationship had a solid foundation but imo it appears artificial as if they have fallen in love with their fantasy person not the real people they r. From what we r shown there is no substance/depth and G comes across as well below Bs intelligence. IMO their connection appears childish. Surely by this stage G is not permanently nervous. I’m hoping CH asks the hard questions on the FInal ep. Im only interested now in seeing here how B reacts post filming to her F2 & F3. Wondering if Blake will be bitter after watching?
