Yes, they do but how many go off the deep end like Becca?
I've never seen a Bachelorette react that way. At least in retrospect, the only Bachelor, Jason Mesnick had a valid reason for his behaviour. I don't even want to imagine what she'll do when she lets Blake go. I'd love to be a fly on the wall of the Yrigoyen home when they see the next few episodes unfold.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Jason’s journey ends. IMHO I think he is the true F2 and could have been F1 if he was more proactive night 1. IMO Becca came into this needy and wanting men to prove their devotion which both G and B did night 1 plus these two men IMO fit her mould. Many may have a differing opinion however when I look at night 1s photos of B & J on The couch it looks like she is flirting with him but he is a little reserve. In ep 3 she told him he made her nervous - in a good way. IMO prior to their 1-1 their relationship appeared very intimate regardless of the short amount of time. IMO their 1-1 even though the activities were lame B appears animated/excited about their connection. Imo she was glowing in her interview segments in the night portion of the date. Didn’t she also tell him something like he is one of the best characters she has meet? I’m confused as to why he didn’t get a 2nd 1-1 but wonder if she was already set on G and didn’t want to take the risk. And I believe she thought he was a risk and outside her comfort zone. At HT she was the one at the end of the night telling him she would miss him. She also asked his mother if he was ready to get married and kids. I wonder if she feels insecure with Jason given her prior relationships. Hence the need for her to address her fears next ep. He was late showing interest, if I remember correctly tptb approached him for the show so she may wonder if he wants a wife and children in near future? Something b said at an interview has stayed with me and I’m not 100o/o of wording/interview but it was difficult to say goodbye at F3 and quickly added F2 and IMO appeared as an afterthought. IMHO I don’t think B has the confidence J needs in a partner which is IMO v sad.

I agree with some of your comments about Jason and Becca. Maybe Jason was more reserved but she was also set on Garrett, who had such a strong psychological advantage from night one, with reminding her of her father. That is hard to be aware of in the moment. She actually mentions that a lot as if it was a good thing, but it’s not not really if you want a mature relationship where you have worked out your issues. She missed her dad too much to be aware of the lifelong patterns it created and the resulting unsatisfactory relationships.  Jason is a confident, successful man who also has a good heart and genuine optimistic personality. They got along intellectually and have good chemistry, emotional and physical. It’s a little too much for her to handle at this time. Garrett is like a loyal loving dog, for now, and she can feel loved but still in charge and leading him. When she says she is looking for an equal partner, it’s not apparent in her choice of F1, and time will tell how it evolves.

Hey Astrobach, thanks u said it so much better than my long winded post. Feel frustrated for her but time will tell. Maybe I’m reading it wrong but I hope she gains the momentum/confidence to become the independent liberated woman imo she tries to project.

Yes, I sure hope so too. She is in the middle of a very important astrological phase where she is facing challenges and questions pertaining to her identity, life directions and choices. It’s a maturing period that cannot be rushed and usually ends around the age of 30 or so. It will be interesting to see how she deals with the already obvious choices she made and their consequences. That’s why many people experience major changes in their lives, like quitting or starting new jobs, relationships, place of residence etc. Not the greatest time to commit for long term because of the natural restructuring that needs to occur before the foundation is set for longer term projects. Is it the norm that one preview of an episode includes every detail necessary to determine who is eliminated? This week’s preview does that because: (i) Becca’s white dresses and earrings from the evening portions of her dates with Garrett and Blake differ from the print dress and earrings when she’s crying on the bed, (ii) the earring when she’s crying on the bed appears to be the same earring that she is wearing in the evening portion of her date with Jason, and (iii) as others have pointed out, the rose ceremony is always during the day, which means that the person eliminated was eliminated on a date, hence Jason.

So little to no sleuthing required. I started watching the show again during Arie’s season after a hiatus of a number of years. My recollection is that it took a lot more sleuthing on this board to figure out the eliminations at the fantasy suite stage. Am I mistaken and it’s always been plain and simple just by watching the episode preview a couple of times?

@mbl I’m not watching this season, so the info I am gleaning is coming primarily through this forum.
Things do change season to season, as far as difficulty/easiness to sleuth and spoilers.
Previews can give things away, but certainly do not always do that at all.
My opinion ithe reason things have been so clear with the final choice is to develop a fan base, sell the romance, etc of this couple early on.

Thanks @kashathediva for the insight. Guess it just seems like a big thing that’s been given away in this preview, it was so easily disclosed who was eliminated.

It’s simply my own speculations, but I think for various reasons the final couple has been revealed early.
Ratings are hovering at 1.4 and 1.6.
