Blake and Garrett are not the only ones who have divulged incredibly sensative personal information. That tells me TPTB did their job and neither one of them had to guts to stand up to them IMHO.

I'm sorry, but I can't say Garrett's is worse because he couldn't even stay married/committed for 2 months after the wedding. If she was abusive or cheated, then IMO I see no problem with it. Unfortunately, IMO Garrett's SM likes have coloured how we view him. I think it is difficult to separate that behaviour from what we are seeing on the screen and unfortunately, I think the dislike stemming from that is clouding how many are viewing him.

I actually have a good friend who is pretty astute observing people. She is never interested about getting spoiled and doesn't do anything other than just watch the show, but this year she went to Europe for a few months and actually missed the start of the show and all the following bruhaha. She just got back last week and told me not to say anything as she was going to binge watch this weekend. When she called me earlier today she said she really likes Becca as the Bette and that she picked a great F3. She thinks that Jason is next to go and that while Becca likes and has chemistry with both Blake and Garrett, she thinks that she will pick G because they are both so giddy with one another.

To the bolded, you are absolutely correct. As these people are really "characters" to us, so much of how we "view" them comes down to how reliable or how much we trust them, not so dissimilar to a book or non reality TV show (i.e. think a reliable narrator).

No matter what Garrett does I will always know what he values based on those IG likes, things I do not and will never stand for, things that I find quite frankly disgusting. As a result I will never be able to root for Garrett or validate his actions. I have a perception of him that likely can never be changed.

I think if the ex cheated  g waa probably very hurt and just asking his mom if he was doing the right thing because they were no married long and should he continue to fight for his marriage jmo

With age comes wisdom...usually.

I know now, looking back 30 years on my 20 something year old self, that I think how naïve and insecure I was. So yeah, now I would say I wouldn't be asking my mom, but then I sure would have.

I think it’s easy to be objective in the situation of cheating and even more, spousal abuse originating from the wife when you’re not directly involved. In the heat of emotion regarding cheating , who controls the flow? Not the innocent mate. Uncovering cheating in any stage of marriage sends you into a tailspin imo. Sometimes that confusion makes for you to seek advice. Can this be fixed or forgiven . Was it weakness or deliberate cheating etc. Regarding spousal abuse that stems from the woman, what resources are there for husbands to gain advice? It’s not the norm. I know of one friend who was very opinionated about how to handle a cheater was the most confused when it happened to her. She came over to show me a pic of another woman in a bikini in her husband’s possession. No words to explain her pain .
Not saying I’m saying what Garrett says is all truth but I can see it from an innocent mate vs the not so inncocent mate. It can fit Garret’s emotions and reaction of that time . All mo

I'm very fortunate to not have experienced any type of abusive behaviour, but if she was abusing him mentally/emotionally and she cheated, I would think that would be an out for him, and not something that requires permission or validation from anyone IMHO. To me, there appears to be more to the story. He was like a little kid justifying his short lived marriage along with his facial expression that appeared to be, I hope she believes me. Maybe he just always looks like that. He talks and waits for a response as if he's lying. That's how I take him.

For the record, my view of Garrett was well before we knew anything about the likes. My view IMHO is not clouded by his likes on IG, they only re enforce my opinion. Red flags were raised for me right off the bat when I saw the sword link, and it went downhill from there.

I will never look at his IG so thanks to those who are posting his SM activity.

I personally wasn't comfortable seeing the vid when he grabbed her head and went for the kiss during the concert date, and that was before I knew anything about him other than the sword link. I found that to be far to aggressive from someone you hardly knew, and in public. To me that would have made me very uncomfortable.

For the record, ITA and thought something was ‘off’ with him from the beginning and the more info I got through here and my own Astro analysis and other sources, the more it confirmed my impression, gut reaction and dislike of him. His family time was so revealing in the dynamics...very curious to see how Becca will attempt to reconcile some of her statements with her choice.

His family time, I found very creepy. I felt very strange watching, and actually didn't watch it all after his father made fun of who ever it was he was mocking.

Thanks @guardianangel for bringing the link over for the sword link. And I also agree with you, even before the SM likes, I was not impressed by that sword link which is affiliated to a controversial group (won’t name them because I am not sure it’s within forum rules to do so) who IMO is responsible for the senseless loss of innocent lives in America due to gun violence. Also couple with the fact that Garrett was also an IG follower of a political pundit who IMHO is a racist (he has since stopped following this individual on SM). So yeah some of us had issues with G even before the SM likes so I don’t agree with the fact that the SM likes is clouding how some of us feel about G but respect others’ opinions who think G is a wonderful person...all jmho.
