Bachelorette 14 - Becca Kufrin - Episode 8 - July 16th - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

I think garrett told becca the whole story when they were not on camera so I believe becca knows more than the viewing audience because maybe g did not want to say everything on tv jmo

I Find Garrett annoying.... Sorry not sorry
Every time He talks or starts laughing and I see that smirk on his face I roll my eyes.
I get the feeling he’s not telling us something, he’s not telling her everything.... just to save himself.
He “kinda” owned up to his whole insta likes fiasco because there was proof he liked those pictures.
Now however we don’t have any clarity/ proof as to what really happened in his marriage so as of now he’s making himself look like the good guy ( trying too hard to make himself look that way IMO ) because there is basically no evidence that makes him the bad guy in this one....especially since his ex has remained silent.
IMO he behaves like a teenager and his parents treat him as such
Maybe his ex wife started lashing out at him cos he saw marriage as a joke and wouldn’t take certain things seriously ... idk

Regarding Garrett trying to make himself look like the good guy: there is so much that we aren't shown. The night time portion of their 1-on-1's are at least an hour, probably more, and we have seen 3-4 minutes of each of them. There was so much said between them that we will never see. And I wouldn't be surprised if he told her stuff off camera as well. I have faith that Becca knows the whole story, and ultimately that is the only person that needs to know it. And I don't think Becca is dumb enough to think that Garrett did no wrong, I am sure she asked all the questions we have. You have to remember, this is an edited show, they have certain storylines they are trying to push.

We obviously do not know if and how much Becca asked for clarifying from Garrett about his previous marriage...all speculation on our part...but given that Becca told his mom ‘ Garrett told me everything’ what is that ‘ everything’ ? And WHY oh WHY is she buying it so much...to the point of repeating almost verbatim what Garrett said (‘ I think he tried as hard as he could and it didn’t work out). Trying as hard as one could for 2 months is pretty ludicrous. It’s all very fishy and she seems blind to any red flag are waived in her face, no matter their size!
I also cannot take that last image of Garrett and Kayla on their weeding day, shown in the car away from my memory...where she could be mistaken for Becca, I had to do a double take....is this a Dateline preview or something?

So things that stood out for me:
Becca again repeats the similarities between G and her father of hunting and fishing. Very deep. Lol
I found it interesting when planting the rose bush she questioned him about how deep to plant the bush, not once but twice. Lol you go girl.
His exact words about his divorce “a little over 2yrs”
When did things start to go south: (his words) when they moved in together. “That’s when i got out. When our family values no longer aligned. He states his family picked up on that and did not like it.
The subsequent YouTube part of date he states they (his family)will not be afraid to share their opinions.
Per mom: no holds bar in discussing their feelings.
Interesting. Maybe and hopefully they did discuss their value systems other than his shared love for outdoor activities and her identifying him with daddy.

From what they’ve shown ....IMO he is trying too hard to prove he’s innocent in his divorce drama by constantly bashing his ex. Besides ...the trash talking has been going on for a couple of episodes now ......and every time it’s him making her sound like a horrible person. He said the problems started when they moved in....moving in (1) and living together for the first time (2) can be very stressful and from what ABC is deciding to show....he is making it seem like those problems were all caused by his ex. I’m pretty sure they talked about more than we’re seeing, so I guess it’s on ABC If  they decide to show us him trash talking about his ex again and again. They’re making it seem that when it comes to his marriage, that’s all he’s got to say...but hey idk
I’m pretty sure Becca asked him anything she wanted to know tho

Bigotry cannot be “cleaned up” because one agrees to apologize and hide it from the public. The man clearly has issues that a smart, progressive, professional, self-respecting woman cannot live with. I’m going on the record: Unless Becca is not at all who she portrays herself to be, she and Garrett are toast soon. I understand the embarrassment and contractual obligation that may delay it but, I certainly hope she doesn’t waste years like she did on the first jerk and more importantly, I hope she finds a new mistake to make because this one is getting old.

@SFoster  Yeah, for sure. Speaking of people who don’t try very hard: Six weeks after a normal dating leads to engagement leads to marriage? Bizarre/absurd/ridiculous. 

There's another piece of evidence that points to Garrett not being an innocent one. The ex's father did not escort her down the aisle at the wedding. From what we can see in the video, he was not even in attendance at the wedding. If he was opposed to the wedding, that means he was opposed to Garrett? But that is just sad. And it seems her parents are still together and live 5 miles from Reno.

Interesting that you should mention the bolded. As an avid gardener who has a large rose garden, when I watched that scene, I was thinking if they plant in that bush much lower it will bloom in China. No way that bush will survive with all that soil above the root ball.
