Maybe Lauren could look into a male chastity belt...for anytime he is not within eye sight?
You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.

I don't think Arie mentioning a winter wedding means he is back peddling. Maybe it works out better for filming as it seems the other Bach weddings were filmed/aired in the winter. I have a strong feeling they really want a TV wedding. Jmo.

I wouldn't rush it if I was Lauren. I'd need him to prove he could be faithful and monogamous first. I hope for her sake, he's found his one and will be. But I have my doubts.

I'm not holding my breath. The only way he'll stop his ways is if she nails the windows and doors shut.
Or gets therapy. It’s actually alarming how close he fits the Romantic Narcissist identity . Many compare astrological signs but this aura analysis is interesting in what Arie emits. Lauren will believe him now because Arie is on his best behavior, but it’s later when the cracks will show. Jmo

Call me jaded, but I just don't see Arie and Lauren walking down the aisle ever. I've been following Arie for many years now, and I see the same pattern with women happening over and over again. Initially he's head over heels in love with them until he looses interest and moves on to the next one. Sadly, I can't see him settling down at all, and I do think he would really benefit from personal counselling. jmoaa
IMO - I think that I would be more likely to think that his feelings for Lauren may be different, and this could be the case if this relationship had not started the way it did. As it stands now, I just see the pattern mentioned above. I still remember him as "blue hoodie guy" and have never followed him very closely. All I know is his reputation, which (again IMO) didn't just appear out of nowhere. It came from the pattern... If only he had known his heart so strongly around Lauren and picked her then I could maybe see him as a changed man.
As it stands now- the beginning of this relationship was shadey, and he will get bored and shadey again later. IMO

I know! What's the rush and why the hurry? IMO they seem more concerned about having a televised wedding than the actual marriage. Not sure why they want a televised wedding. I wouldn't want people hate-watching my wedding which is exactly what most viewers would be doing if they tuned in, again IMO. Their need for attention is reaching ridiculous levels IMO.

This is Arie we're talking about here ya'll. There isn't going to be any kind of wedding. All JMO based on Arie's past.

As far as I can tell Arie had a normal dating life, he sometimes dated two women at the same time. Where Arie differs is that even though it's clear he was in casual relationships, he apparently is such a great guy that the women fell head over heels and were pretty scorned when he inevitably dumped them.officeRules wrote:All I know is his reputation, which (again IMO) didn't just appear out of nowhere. The exception is of course Courtney, she admitted Arie was a great guy, but she wanted a guy who was ready to commit, while Arie wanted a friend with benefits (with the potential for more if feelings developed) so she moved Arie into the friend zone.
Of course Arie is a bit of a nerd (I guess race car driving could be considered an intellectual sport), and most people will only tolerate socially a-typical people when they stay out of the spotlight. Arie has great self esteem however and a great support system, so I think he views the haters the way most people view mosquitoes, annoying blood suckers who can't help themselves, but not something that occupies his time other than to swat at them (deleting nasty comments).
All IMO.

I personally would love a wedding special. It would be the most dramatic ever as we'd probably catch Arie sleeping with a bridesmaid, a runaway groom when someone finally explains to Arie that what "faithful" means, and Lauren ultimately marrying a random wedding guest because she's going to get her wedding no matter what, dammit! IMO.

Yep. I suspect he's already realising that no amount of eye speckles is going to make every day life with Lauren exciting for the next 50 years. "Excitement excites me" Arie signing up for that? Please! JMO. I think the only reason he lasted a year with Sydney is because she never put any pressure on him, and hiding the relationship from the public meant he could keep doing whatever he wanted in the meantime. Now he has Lauren and their moms already planning a wedding and fans expecting it by the end of the year. The guy must be full of dread already. All JMO.

JMO, Arie is going to marry Lauren and the quicker the better. After making a public spectacle of himself, he is going to prove the haters and Jef wrong. Honestly, their behavior screams look at us we are in love, we are going to marry, not actual emotion or feeling at least IMO.
However, I don’t believe he can be faithful until he proves it. I expect this to be like Jackie O and JFK, Arie will cheat often and frequently and Lauren will accept and focus on other things. For Arie, it really won’t change all that much for him and he gets the best of both worlds. For Lauren, it appears her mom stayed and dealt with this after rumors of her fathers unfaithfulness. It is their life and their choices. If it makes them happy great. JMO.

The only way to prove loyalty is to do it.
Time is not even a factor as over time anyone can slip into that affair should they choose. So to me that argument about time is moot.
How much time--10 yrs? 5? 35? People have affairs and or divorce at all ages. I am amazed at how many go through this at empty nest timing.
I don't see Arie marrying to prove others wrong. Divorce is expensive in time, energy and money.
If he marries, it will be because that is what they both choose to do and not to thumb it to anyone is MO. I would not be surprised if there were a prenup, too. As people move into their mid-30's and have holdings, this is becoming more common.

We could speculate what will happen until the cows come home, but nobody on this forum really knows what goes on behind closed doors with their relationship. I am not a believer in the phrase "once a player, always a player" though. People can change. From what I can gather, they seem quite compatible together. Will they make it? Who knows. That goes for all the other Bach couples too...dating OR married. Love is a choice and relationships are hard work. They require commitment and sacrifice. Suddenly, it's not just all about 'you' anymore. Jmho.
