Especially when we don't know how many things might influence the outcome such as Ryan's departure and return.........just leary believing that RS is right wen for the last 2-3 seasons he has definately been fleissed to some extent.

It could very well be TPTB-driven in order to build sympathy for him & line him up nicely for next Bach....that's what they did for Ali. She was seen as kind of brat to the viewing audience because of her disdain for Vienna, & then she left the show & they had her call Jake in St. Lucia to tell him she thinks she made a mistake/wanted to come back... & viola! she is the next

Any comments as to who this might favor? I'm thinking maybe Ben? Do you think he's less "settled down" than JP?

"Yes definitely, so one of the big things Brad is that he was older and he was very settled in and I was looking for somebody that to create a life, a new life together, and I think the way I saw was that I don’t know I felt like Brad was looking for somebody to fit into his life and not to say it's a bad thing it just wasn’t what I was looking for."

I think Ben is settled in California for several reasons. I imagine J.P is settled in New York, but maybe Ashley being an east coast girl (her words) that location is a better fit for her right now.

Thanks! I agree! I think the proximity of JP is a bonus too. (Not that she's going to choose him just because he's the closest. :giggle: )

I agree. I think Ben as far as work/location wise is more like Brad in that respect since I would assume he can't leave where he is at in CA if he wants to continue with the winery. On the other hand I would think JP has some more flexibility since he doesn't own the business where he works. Also, Ashley may prefer to stay on the East coast. I don't think that means that she can't/won't end up with Ben, but I think JP's setup is most likely a plus for her in comparison to Ben and Constantine for that matter too. But maybe she is looking for a change and would love to start her practice in CA?

So, Ashley's looking for somebody to start a new life with together? Somebody that isn't so settled in that he can't pick up and start fresh with her? Like Ben who just quit his job to move to SF so that he could devote himself to his passion, winemaking, full time?

I don't know enough about JP's job to compare.

It seems to me like really often the leads on this show are ready to pick up and start fresh in a new location. Ali? Jillian? DeAnna? Merideth? Trista?
