Not much is said about how Lauren handled herself during her break-up.  I for one thought she handled it with maturity and great aplomb.  Perhaps she did have some forewarning - I don't know - but to me she looked blindsided and yet held her composure without becoming a stone wall.  And, in the limo, I think she demonstrated her ability to read people by opining that Arie must have been terrified proposing after having made his decision only 3 hours prior to the proposal and that he made a mistake by going the easy route.  I do think contrary to popular opinion that she has self-awareness and was quite cognizant that her mistrust issues made it more difficult for Arie.  Will be curious to see how she is tonight after having watched his break-up with Becca presumably for the first time with the rest of us.  

So many great insights. My wife is someone who will take charge and hold it together in stressful and emotional situations (eg a death in the family) and once the crisis has been dealt with - she will then break down. I think this is exactly what Lauren did. IMO she is a much stronger person than many have given her credit for. I also think she reads people well - especially Arie - which is something she has said before (to her mother on her HTD IIRC). I was actually struck with a little bit of awe when she told Arie that she realizes her attempts to avoid getting hurt have made it impossible for her to feel love. Up until last night I neither liked nor disliked Lauren - I only focused on Arie's likes and dislikes - but after seeing her happiness on the LCD and her heartbreak at the FRC I find myself wanting to see her find whatever it is she wants in life.

I find it interesting that Arie and Lauren, at least from the edit, appear more objectified in dealing with emotions. If that makes sense.  They appear to be more on the same footing and more evenly yoked.

I think they are very much alike in how they feel emotions and how they express them. IMO they see in each other someone who understands them because they are so alike. I think that's a large part of this magnetic attraction they seem to have for each other. IMO each may well view their relationship as something that is "meant to be".

I hope they beat the odds, Jason and Molly could really help them navigate through the backlash.

I have watched this season though not really invested so it was more easier to be objective for myself IMO. I am rooting for these two to make it to the other side. If they can get through the next few days of aftermath, it will begin to calm down and the judges and juries of the almighty Bachelor Nation will move on to finding their next targets of scrutiny. I think it was clear to me the whole time how drawn Arie was to Lauren and really where I think he tripped himself up was he was trying too hard maybe to "get it right" that in his mind, the unknown from Lauren and her constant fears made him think he 'had' to make the 'right' choice with sure thing Becca. And in the matter of his ultimate feelings it just didn't work out. I do hope he and Lauren (assuming she gives him another chance) can persevere and follow the Jason/Molly path.
