Bachelor Canada - Season 3 - Chris Leroux - Episode Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

I think Chris showed plenty of angst over Mikaela in the last episode. Something else I found interesting...

When Lindsey says to Chris "You have my heart. I'm all yours" (paraphrasing) he nodded and in ITM I believe he said he was happy to hear it. Then he takes that as an opportunity to vent to Lynsdey about how he is so in his head all the time trying to be cool. Keep in mind, Mikaela said to him on their 1-1 She is "out of her head with him and it feels good".

Contrast to the cocktail party and his itms on Mikaela, he only briefly talks to her about being scared but he tells her it was something he wanted to hear and he immediately reassures her that she didn't deserve him shutting down and he's ready for the "m/c love story". In an itm he says her being open is "inspiring" because he wants to be able to do it too. Now my question is, how is chris' behavior toward Mikaela indicative of her clearly being the f2? Arguments have been made in the past that the person getting reassurance means that is who the lead is invested in but in Mikaela's case I guess not...

Not to take anything from what he has with Lindsey but he took his time with her to open up about his own problems (which is a good thing btw) but to me it says a lot that he wanted to reassure Mikaela instead of making it all about his feelings. I just don't understand how these things are being disregarded.

That's all for now because like @hea, I'm tired and no matter what is said we see what we want based on what we want the outcome to be. Myself included. I'm just ready for the next episode. JMO.

I don’t disregard the connection with Mikaela, it is definitely there. I think he have strong feelings for both of them. Ultimately, it just comes down to the one he can’t bear to lose. You saw giving assurance to Mik as an indication and I saw him wanting assurance from Lynds as an indication too. Like you said, it is just a matter of different and somewhat bias perceptions based on which outcome we want. It just shows that we are all humans. Lol. I think Mik is awesome too. If she turns out to be F1, I will be a little heartbroken but I’am sure we can all root for a love story in the end no matter which side are we on initially.

With regards to the bolded, he's basically been asking for reasurrance from Lyndsey right from night one with regards to her age. It is something that HE wants and needs vs what Lynds wants and needs. See, with Mikaela it's been about her and to tell the truth, I still don't see an obstacle for them.

Now I am not disregarding Mikaela, just think that there is more with Lyndsey especially with how they have edited the show from night one onwards when he took her aside in a very private location and not where the other girls can see them as he had with everyone else that we were shown, Mikaela included. Chris has already said that he can't lose Lyndsey. Havent seen/heard him say anything like that about Mikaela. I've got no gripe or grudge against Mikaela and for that matter, I don't have a fave at all....the only thing I am saying and talking about are stats from past seasons, the editing involved in this season compared to last seasons and just reporting on it. Giving facts about the flights, the finale date, reasons why for all. that is all I have been doing.

Looks like it's Mikaela to me and it was was either part of their SD from date last week that they didn't show ormaybe it's from this coming week's group date.

I don’t think the hair is dark enough wet to be Micheala.

before I move on to Epi. 7--I really would like to hear how you all interpreted Chris' BL/gesture when Lin told him he had her heart : -he puts both hands to his face and throws his head way down and then with both hands on his face throws his head waaay back-then he goes on to talk about his problem with opening up.. I really don't know what to make of it. It has to be one of the strangest reaction to a love declaration I have witnessed.

IMO he was in shock and very happy that he didn't know how to react! thats how happy he was, but he had to hide it somehow.... it reminded me of when Matty J (the aussie bach) heard Laura(his F1) say to him she is falling in love with him and i remember mattys reaction was similar and we all thought he was upset but in fact he was so happy.... jmo
