Bachelor 22 - Arie Luyendyk Jr - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Hi, everyone!

Having been accidentally spoiled a few days ago, I'll be on "the dark side" this time around. Here were my pre-season unspoiled impressions:

Arie: Is he ready for love? Probably to the extent that most bachelors are, which is to say, not so much. However if he proves to be an entertaining lead, I'll be more than satisfied.

Becca: Never saw her coming! My unspoiled take on her was that she was an Astrid type -- beautiful, pleasant personality, easy to get along with, someone that Arie might definitely take to the F8, but probably not dynamic enough to go much higher. She seems nice, and she's definitely had it tough, so I hope that she doesn't get too banged up by this experience.

My favorites were:

Caroline -- If I were doing a Bachelor fantasy league, she would have been my top pick - beautiful, well spoken, good resume, and a  real estate career. The complete package!

Bekah -- Yeah, she's a little young, but I love her gamine features and pixie hair cut. Also love the mix of nurturing and outdoor adventure.

Tia -- There must be a bumper crop of beauties coming up from the small-town south.

I also had some interest in Jessica, Bri, and Marikh.

Probably wouldn't go the distance, but fun to hang out with -- Nysha. She seems like a person who keeps it real.

Initially turned off by:

Chelsea -- I like that she's from Portland, to which I have ties, but the entitled mom comment that she made in the preview brought up unpleasant memories of Kelsey Poe.

Kendall -- I just can't get past the taxidermy.

Maquel -- a Utah woman calling herself a "professional photographer" has become the equivalent of a L.A. waitress calling herself an actress. It's just a cliché. As Judge Judy would say, young lady, how do you *really* earn your living? Add in the blonde hair, the Utah Valley accent, and especially, the made-up name, and I feel like I'm over her already. I'll take a more authentic Marikh over a Maquel any day of the week.

Having said that, I am open to having my mind changed. I have a greater than usual taste for drama this season, so bring it on! I'm looking forward to sharing the season with you all.

Eh, my fault entirely. I dipped my toe in where I shouldn't have. For whatever reason, I don't mind being spoiled this time around. I might go back to the unspoiled side in the spring.

@freebach, These are great, thank you. OMG, that first one, that was the scene I was talking about. I don't recall him doing that with any of the other girls. He also plays with her hair every chance he gets.    Arie is so good at making a gal feel special.

IA - love that first and last one! it reminding me of him with Emily, they if i recall, used to kiss, head touch, and talk so close, like it was just them 2 and no camaras, very hot almost like they were breathing in each others words...Really Really looking forward to watching Becca and Aries love story play out

What is he saying to her in that third GIF? We need an expert reader of pillow lips!

There was a moment when he was talking about how he's changed, more ready, etc since his first go round. He referenced his gray hair and I could not make out what she said in her response. I rewound 3 times and still couldn't make it out.

I believe she said “I love that by the way.”

Thanks freebach! I especially love the one of them hugging where you can see both of their faces as they hug the other. This is how two grown ups who are not into games look as they fall in love.
