Bachelor 22 - Arie Luyendyk Jr - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

There are some big ef fans, Sean fans and arie fans on this forum. I'm sure truth will come out. What I had heard was closer to what Bet stated. I think Ef and Arie did have a friendship for awhile. I don't think personally I would ever have labeled it thick as thieves. I mean Aries has always had a work ethic. Lol Ef is/was allergic to stuff like that imo. I could go on and on and won't

I was in neither camp at that time (I liked then both). Trying to find more from that time but here is one that backs up what I remember from that time.

Thanks everyone for the info, didn't mean to open a can of worms. But I agree that it's a long time to still be bitter over it, as Jef seems to be. I wonder if Arie feels the same or is over it.

I don't doubt that Arie was dating someone up until he left to film. Maybe he thought they were "casual" but she didn't? Happens all the time, people never talk this stuff through, or they lie to each other, or to themselves.

I think Jef is more so jealous Arie is back in the limelight and throwing his name out there. Its not making him look good at all (not that he ever does IMO).

Arie grew up in an environment where women have always been at his disposal. His dad is a successful race car driver. I would venture to say it's easy to describe him as a lady's man. With the environment he grew up in, he really had no choice as there were always women willing and waiting to capture his attention.  It will take the right one on his season to capture his heart. But the good news is, I've seen it happen. He was so heartbroken. He's funny and charming..so endearing and his heart is huge. There isn't a mean bone in his body. This atmosphere will capture an open heart on Arie's end...I have no doubt about that. He deserves to find that ONE again. He's beautimus on screen and if they cast the right girls, it will be one hell of a season and I for one can't wait!

As far as 1f, I'm so glad that twat will not interrupt my Arie time. Grossssssssssssss!

@sosleepy I was definitely an Arie fan in his season, but I also liked Sean in his season. But Sean definitely likes Arie, so there is that...

I followed Jef after he and Em split, and unless I've lost too many brain cells since then, I do remember sorority houses being in Jef's repertoire. His hound dogging girls like that was what made me finally see the light. So his credibility...nah, not so much, imo.

He's funny. He's got a soft heart. He lived with a gal in a long term relationship for awhile who had two of her own children. I think, if I"m not mistaken they were pregnant with one of their own and miscarried. They were committed. He was a good family man. Nothing weird or obscure came out the first time around showing ick. If you(meaning a person) enjoy car racing, then you would follow through that. So he had a following there with his dad and then him. He is an all around nice guy from people that have gotten to know him and I am not talking about bachelor cast. The "sexual" angle--that means little to nothing to me personally. I ain't bouncing those bones.

Okay, first of all, Courtney confirmed that he was the best sex she's ever had so I don't have to imagine!

Kidding. I think all of the big fan favorites are overrated to some degree - we're dealing with reality TV stars. With the exception of a rare few like Travis, Andy, and Ames, we're not dealing with incredibly talented, intelligent people or anything and they get praised for being hot and doing things that most of us do anyways, like avoiding fame, having a work ethic, being kind, and being in monogamous relationships. I think that for a lot of people, Arie sticks out because he was low-key funny, awkwardly charismatic, attractive, sexy, a good kisser, and seemed to really fall for Emily. He had a presence to him that sticks out. I totally think he's a player and the tabloids are going to have more material than they can handle...but I don't watch the Bachelor for role models. As long as he's done nothing truly creepy and problematic, I just find him (and the effect he has on women) wildly entertaining to watch. IMO.

Uh, I can already see this season being a sh*tshow. All the subtweets with Jef. All the women coming out of the woodwork and RS giving them all a platform.

Again, JMO, this is making indecisive Peter look like a good option. There's still time TPTB...

ETA: I think I may sit this Bach out, tune back in for the Ette (my favorite by far) and check out the winter games. At least the Ettes are half serious and not douchebags/creeps with revolving doors of men for the most part. And the winter games is new so it might be fun. Out with the old, in with the new!

So is the one he was dating up to 2 nights before, the Sydney girl? If so, he obviously doesn't want to get married imo if he had a pretty serious looking relationship. Wow this is so dumb. I'm grossed out, he's not even cute and that girl can do much better. jmo.

If he had been in a serious relationship, wouldn't the girl have been with him when his brother married? There's no girl with him in the wedding pictures.
