They need to cast people that would be a match with the lead whether they are black white purple green whatever, IMHO rather than casting for the sake of diversity numbers.

Instead, they cast according to the roles that they need, we know this from past seasons, and sleuthing.

I don't know why it took so long for this to pop into my head, but with Arie, they HAVE to go to the Netherlands. Maybe they were already scouting a place there and that was part of the incentive to cast him?

I read and article somewhere yesterday from a producer, maybe from Robert Mills (can't remember), that this season will be diverse. They knew that many women would think The Bachelor was Peter. The article said Arie was open so they weren't going about casting differently (Peter vs. Arie) with respect to race. If I can find it, I'll post the link.

Yes. Steve has a history of being insanely jealous of Arie. It seems to have not changed.

@tigertiz maybe he as legitimate sources which makes him not like arie.

@teamkristina RS disliking someone because has good reason...that makes me chuckle. He is not discriminating in any way, shape or form about people - his distinction is between those who feed him and those who don't, as far as I've been able to tell. imo.

I think that RS has really heard a lot of dirt on various contestants, Arie included. Now whether or not the dirt is credible is another story, and I suspect he chooses to believe or discount what he hears based on his own preconceived notions about the subject (as do we all TBH).

RS can receive all of the dirt in the world. It isn't worth much IMO. He doesn't live with said person. I don't have to believe anything in the same manner that he doesn't have to reveal where he gets the info. For several years he has had it out for a handful of these people. He cares way more than he admits. If this was just a job then why would he care so much? He takes it to a disturbingly personal level.

I was talking to my sister who thinks RS pushes smutty tabloid gossip because people love smut which lures traffic to his site more than anything else.. It sounds logical to me .He seems to have a lot of young impressionable followers who take his word as the gospel truth. I haven't gone there since he bad mouthed Arie the first time around. He was vile ..
