Bachelor 22 - Arie Luyendyk Jr - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Oh I don't think that many will opt out, gotta get those insta followers, shilling gigs, etc.

I am super pumped for Arie's season. Don't know anything about the guy but he is hot IMO and can kiss based on what everyone is reporting here. IMO It will be a very entertaining season. I don't think he was the default choice coz we had someone mention here a while back that the auditions were targeting women (most likely only 3-4   ) for an older Bachelor. Peter didn't fit that IMO coz at 31, I don't see his cast being different that the regular 24-28 year olds. I think they had Arie signed a long time ago and were just toying with the audience and RS by throwing Peter's name around.

@Ladybug82, I can see you partying somewhere - no Peter and no Luke!   Dream come true for us!

You really think there will be more older girls? Nick was the same age and he didn't get that many in the 30 age range...

I like Arie. My other hopes are that they will not allow any of the women contestants from previous seasons on, and also that they will find some way to weed out the sociopaths.

Also, IMHO, the Bachelor franchise is a good study of human psychology, and especially sociopathy.

Was just editing my comment when you posted. I do think there will be atleast 3-4 in the 30 age range similar to Nick. With Peter, I expected most of the women (if not all) to be in the 23-29 age range.

True, but years ago, even not that long ago, I don't think the women even knew who the Bachelor was going to be til they got there almost.

Actually, this reminds me of Brad Womack's season....he came out of left field and was 38, way older than most of the girls. Funny because that was Emily's season...

IMO Ben Higgins was too young. Can't believe all the rumors ,Arie could end up being a great bachelor if he meets the right girl. Look how Jordan's Ex & Reality Steve bashed Jordan about being a play boy and cheater and after a year and a half he seems to be doing very well with JoJo .I think when the right girl comes along it changes everything. My son wouldn't settle, he held out,waited for the right girl and at 39 got married has a baby now and his life has forever changed. The same can happen for Arie and I hope it does.

@coolangel I'm thanking the Bach gods!  I can totally still snark and laugh at Arie (who has a sense of humor) while admiring his kissing ability and thinking he's hot.  So win-win for me.  If you haven't yet, go check out the archives or YouTube for some Arie vids to see him in action, then let me know your thoughts!  

Now if Irma will just give us a little more breathing room and turn further away from the coast line, all will be good in my world.  Thoughts and prayers going out to those dealing with Harvey, the fires on the west coast, and Irma (already and to come).  Be safe y'all!

Which is why he tweeted about having stories to tell, IMO.  IMO, he just wants attention and is probably a bit jealous.  His on/off gf left him to go on BIP and then hooked up with and has something on/off with his neighbor Dean.  And now his past bestie got the gig 5 years (or whatever it is) removed from the franchise.

ETA: Have to admit as someone who didn't mind Jef back in the day and loved the friendship between him, Arie, and Micheal Nance, I'm loving the fact Arie got the gig.
