SCMIIW said he cancelled a race around Labour Day? IMO he was on the list and was not a last minute choice. They were probably dealing with Mr Catch Me If You can when they realized yeah buddy we didn't want you anyway. JMO

We knew no one esle from Rachel's season would hold any interest, I'm sure they knew it too. It's not like the season ended and they thought now what? Plans are in place for the next bachelor while the 'ette premiers.

Once he was Pell'd, he moved on. He fell hard for Emily, no doubt about it IMHO, and I'm hoping to see him fall hard for his F1.

Vinny and Chase "chasing" the last remnants of their D-list fame. I could say "sour grapes," but even that's irrelevant in this context.

Maybe, for once since Des' season, I would actually watch the entire season.

I am beyond thrilled that Arie is the Bachelor. A man of substance with a solid career who is not going on the Bachelor to increase his SM following to build a "platform" or "brand" to become a social media influencer. Hurray! The Franchise has needed a reset IMO and I am happy all the fame hoes and wanna be hanger oners are getting dust. Good riddance IMO.
I feel absolutely elated! Arie looked fantastic on GMA and is as engaging and articulate as ever. His season is going to be Wonderful!!!

I always liked Arie but I hope he's ready for what the tabloids are going to throw his way.

I wonder what the over/under is on the first tabloid story about Arie or the number of stories that are gonna come out about him. We all know it's coming. Hope he's prepared for it.

This is my thought as well., its mostly Peter or bust fans I don't think most long-term fans are upset or not that I have seen. It will blow over and Arie will do great! I just hope they get him some good 28+ year old women to pick from.

I love how TPBP went old school, and these new ones are all like wtf just happened. One of the best parts, IMO.

Agreed but I think he will handle it better that Peter would have.

I think that the move is smart for the survival for the franchise, I'm just not sure how the ratings are going to do. There is a sliver of Bachelor fans who are as dedicated as we are so they may just give up on the season/franchise because they're not willing to investigate/get to know Arie.
