IMO (also wishful thinking) they're gonna buckle and allow Peter to do his season without a proposal guarantee. The thought of a lead from another show like BB or whatever else is a no from me.

Yes, and the recent development supports his view point about being engaged on the show.

This is 100% what they should do imo, plus allowing and teasing the possibility that Pete will fall so in love with his f1 that he'll propose despite his previous stance on it.

And the timing is perfect with the N/V break up to announce that they have picked Peter. They have come to their senses that a forced/"it's in the contract proposal" is not the way to go. Maybe dating (after a 2.5 month romance/3 individual dates/dating other guys) is a better way to go than getting down on one knee.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on them to change anything in the set up and expectation of the show no matter how many break ups or who the lead is. That's not what MF cares about or why he started the show, IMO.

Anyone ready for Nick 2.0 as Bach or round 5 (overall)? laugh out loud

Nick better not come back again. He wasn't good the first time, imo, and proposing didn't seem to change things.

Fleiss hasn't always cared about proposals. Just look at the history of TB. I hate to say it but RS might be right that they wanted Peter and he turned them down. This tweet seemed like it could be :sourgrapes:

IKR! Nick/Vanessa are not the first Bachelor breakup in this franchise. Only 1 out of 20 Bachelors married the person they proposed and got engaged to on the show. laugh out loud

N/V are the norm..not the exception. IMO Nothing is going to change in Bachelor land.

Switching gears, I am back to thinking it might be Dean for this season. I listened to a podcast where Dean's "fitness" for TB was being discussed. Millsy's comment on Dean was "but would you watch?" As much as I can't stomach Millsy, I think he is the final decider in chief.

Forget who the next Bachelor is, I'm just going to make a guess at how long they last until they call it quits! Since these Bachelors don't know how to make it last!

Though if it's Peter I will hope he gets his HEA ;)

At least though if they stop with the proposals at the end, they'll also stop cheapening what a proposal actually means (not like they care). Imagine the next person Josh proposes to, IMO it won't mean sh*t because that would be his third. They should just give each other really pretty/expensive jewelry at the end if it's about the bling and plugging neil lane.
