If you honestly think Rachel is it, then why not give her the proposal? This is another Peter's words don't match what he does. I honestly don't get him. I do understand why his fans love him. He seemed so genuine and sincere there. But then he is cold as ice and doesn't comfort a crying Rachel at the last talk we saw. This is why I think he was playing games, his actions and words and heck his words them selves don't always match up. JMO.

@stuckinsc  The TV Peter that I have seen doesn't seem like he is any where near ready to be in a mature relationship with any "smart bright woman doing graduate school".  IMO Rachel and those women are so far out of his league it isn't funny. I don't find him particularly smart (Coitus with a Q). I don't find him particularly bright (I've heard no stimulating conversations from him---only tooth gaps and bare feet). And from what I've read here, he did not finish college, let alone pursue graduate school for a profession. I'm not saying that any man who foregoes college is a dummy. I'm just saying that TV Peter, IMO, does not appear to be a very good match for a smart, bright, grad school woman.

IMO, Even if a guy is on a different plain as far as education and profession, a relationship can work out IF he brings all the other elements together---stimulating conversations, being well-read, well-traveled, job security/personal finances are in good shape, AND they connect FROM WITHIN, i.e. EMOTIONALLY.  THIS is what is missing in TV Peter. He does not connect emotionally with Rachel, as far as I can see.  He doesn't do it with his words and he doesn't do it with his body language. In the scene that is TBC on the FSD, he sits there without any empathy. He states his opinion about what an engagement means to him, which is totally fine. But then, what follows is sorely lacking. No words about finding common ground, understanding, regret. Nope. He just sits there staring like "the ball is in your court. You can take it or leave it. If you don't like what you are hearing then go ahead and do me a favor and eliminate me." He is passive aggressively asking her to cut him loose. he doesn't want to be there. I understand that Rachel is under contract to string along the guys to the end, but is he contractually required to stay there? I don't think so. CMIIW. I'd respect the guy if he said right there, that they don't seem to be on the same page, but instead I find him to be going through the motions for his own media exposure only. I don't even believe that he wants to be the next Bachelor. I really don't.

Peter was able to play it cool with Rachel's family and come across as conservative and level-headed in this crazy show environment, compared to falling in bubble love like Bryan and Eric. (Let's not forget that Eric is also verbalizing his deep feelings for Rachel, too. It isn't just Bryan.) I can see where the skeptical family would find that 'normal'. BUT, let's remember that Peter met the family first and they had yet to see Eric or Bryan and how they interacted with her. I think Peter is the kind of guy who could come across as 'non-offensive' where meeting a family---but that's because he is just blah. He doesn't say anything to cause pause because he really doesn't say anything at all. I find him the most endearing when he is interacting with children---his niece, Rachel's nephew, and Spanish girl. Why? Because he has some sort of natural, easy connection. It doesn't require deep thought or emotional depth. I think Peter should stick to showering his new puppy with affection and spend some time doing volunteer work at a youth camp. He seems like those 2 things actually bring him a little bit of joy. JMOAA.

I'm SMH too at this! I'm so disappointed at the official Bachelorette twitter acct. They are so pro Peter it looks like he is the Lead and Rachel a constant! Most of their clips are positive about great, poor Peter. When its a clip about Bryan its mostly negative and not so much about Rachel who is the Lead ! I just don't get it. JMO

Not to belabor the point, but I will! It is one morning in August that he is holding a boot camp. I can't see how that is proof of anything except where he will be one morning in August. He still can be F3,F2 or not likely F1 and have a morning.

His boot camp announcement is proof to me he's isn't the F1, not that I had any doubt, because the first several weeks is dedicated to media rounds and appearances. How much time would he have to prepare for his boot camp which is 5 days after the FRC airs, and how could he be involved in what appears to be big event if he's travelling to various media functions. IA with @Diana for those reasons.

I don't think a F1 would be planning such a public event the first weekend after the finale airs that's JMO. Usually the lead and the F1 are busy that weekend. JMO

He has had this business for a bit now. I think he has plenty of time between now and Aug 12 to do any prep necessary.
