Bachelorette 13 - Rachel Lindsay - Episode 9 - July 24 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Rachel said she found her BEST FRIEND. Nothing, and I mean nothing, about Peter patting Rach on the shoulder while she is crying shows me a man who is falling in love with a woman and wants to be there for her and fully comfort her, let alone be there for her as her best friend. That says it all to me.

Don't even talk about engagement, Peter is not even acting like he likes Rachel enough to date long term.

Bryan's insta story to fans, telling them he knows who they are, sounds mildly threatening Seriously, why is he letting this get to him so much?? Let it go ala Elsa. You got the girl, you're handsome, have a professional skills, new shilling opportunities coming your way, just enjoy the ride and show the disbelievers you don't care!

A little defending is all well and good but the story is overkill imo.

IMO, if this show had NO engagement I don't think it would make any difference to Peter and how he is. I think he is using the engagement as a cop-out for his lack of feelings towards Rachel. I sleuth mostly shows where there is NO engagement and yet even the most reserved contestant that went far showed more interest in the lead than I see with Peter. And that's why I don't buy what Peter says at all because imo his actions show otherwise.

The more I see Peter, the more I cringe to see him with Rachel.

The guy does not know what means to be physical. He does not know how to hold, he does not know how to kiss, he does not know how to comfort... yesterday was AGAIN awkward.

She cried and he remained still in his corner patting her shoulder? REALLY????

And we will be bound to watch him 13 seasons like that??? OR.............. is it it only because it is Rachel me wonder? If he dislike so much Latino American from Miami, I wonder if this is the only distaste he has.............. Because honestly I have this in mind for a while now... he kisses but only because he has too.

I did not read twitter yesterday... did they react about his insults about miami population??

I don't see anything wrong with his IG story. Imo it was sweet.

ITA, this show is about falling in love with the lead, if you are not feeling it then bow out (a la Brooks).  The fact that Peter is still in the running is UNREAL, as has been said up thread, he has no emotion when it comes to Rachel, however, he said he cried his eyes out when he had to drive away from the girl he was living with.  It beggars belief that he actually said "I'm falling in love with you" in the show last night, did he feel that the lead was slipping away from his grasp?

IMO Peter's just vying for the Bachelor slot.  Honestly I'm not sure I would watch.  I know we only see a smidgen of what is filmed, but with the lack of emotion how in the heck is he going to carry the show.  Ack, TPTB will give us big boobed floozies of the ilk of Corrine to go to battle over emotionless Peter and it will be all the ladies drama while Peter just relaxes and snoozes his way through. JMO

To be honest, I think she cried but not because she was devastated about what Peter said. During the conversation, she was totally NOT devastated.

We had major cuts and edits when this happened.

I believe that the conversation went way further than that and at one point she realized that she made a HUGE MISTAKE with Peter and was a complete fool.

Her post amplifiying the AND means a lot.............. yes peter wants engagement but NOT with her NEVER with her. period. And she realized that.

At this stage, the lead just want reinsurance that they are loved. It is very very selfish but it is IMO just that. She knows who she wants to pick but it flatter the lead's ego to be told ILY... It is very unfair and all but lets not forget that the handlers and crew feed this need all along and prepare the leads for that. So IMO when the realization that one of the guy does not care, it hurts. And yes, it IS selfish and all that.

I wish I were as cool as you @Alanna . In my estimation, I think Bryan is already incredibly poised with all the unjustified hate thrown his way since the beginning of the season. SM reacts to him like he is cheating on Rachel, while simultaneously trash-talking not only other contestants but Rachel herself as well . It's just mind-boggling. If I were Bryan, I would regret doing the show - love or no love found. It's not worth it. So compared to me, he is handling it like a BOSS.

Bryan got one kind of hate in my opinion : racism. He IS latino American. She is African American. For a lot of viewers it is sins. We may turn it all the sides we want, at the end of the day, they adore a white white guy from Wisconsin.

No matter what Bryan would have done during this show, he was wrong. And the closer he got to be chosen, the wronger he is. For some viewers it is a personal slap in their face. ................ This makes me want to

ITA and that's exactly how I see it going if Peter is lead. Honestly it blows my mind how SM fans after this guy. He is so emotionally unavailable and stilted IMO. And I don't even think it's because of Rachel... in fact, I bet if he ends up the Bachelor he will be just as stilted and the only emotion he will have is that of loving it that women are chasing him - just like he liked that FB comment. I think he wants to be chased and that's all he wants, and why it seems he wants Rachel to meet him on HIS terms. JMO but that's how he comes across to me - so rigid and self-absorbed... on the show and off the show.
