It's nothing different than what happens every season. The ones who are the likely F1s and the next potential leads have always been under the microscope till the end of their season IMO after which their 15 mins are deemed over and mostly everyone moves on to the next bunch. Peter is no exception IMO and why he is expected to be treated differently baffles me.  

I don't see a problem with sharing my thoughts on him (within the rules) which might be negative in nature here. I shouldn't have to censor myself coz others can't handle what I might have to say about their favorite. I like debates and I have zero problems if someone comes back with their interpretation and we can have a respectful discussion. But accusing someone of having a bias/lacking intelligence in their interpretations just coz you don't see things the way they see is going for the low hanging fruit to censor/police someone else IMO.

Bringing these posts over because this is exactly how every member should feel. Regardless of who you care for and who you don't care for.

What exactly is the problem with members posting their opinions that may be negative to Peter? The rules are clear, we all have the option to post and sleuth our findings. Not everyone likes Bryan, why is it ok for those posts to be shared, and not Peter? If someone feels posting a picture of himself sprawling on a bench is not F1 behaviour, that's their right to share that. It's part of the sleuthing process. Some may find nothing wrong with that, and that's fine. However those that feel it wasn't appropriate F1 behaviour they have the right to express their findings are they not? How exactly are they suppose to post that's how they feel about that picture? Tell me via PM because I would like to  know.

We will not all fan the same person, ever. We will however always continue to post what we think about contestatns.  We follow SM behaviour on the speculated F1-F2 because that may gives us clues. At this point, the other contestants are not in the F1-F2 so we may not pay much attention to what they do other than enjoyment in following them or other clues.

If you feel you don't want to post in his thread any longer because you cannot accept the negativity, there are fan threads, there are options. Announcing that you won't post here is not in anyway helpful to sleuthing. You don't care for our forum, we don't need unsupportive members. We sleuth and we share opinions. It's not a matter of rebuttlas. It's a matter of a member posting what they think. If you cannot discuss in a reasonable manner, and enjoy a good debate, and choose instead to lash out, then IMO you are too invested in someone who is simply a reality tv contestant.

I need specific clarification on what exactly is the problem and what suggestion you may have in how exactly are members suppose to express opinions about Peter that are not fan like in nature,  via PM, because going forward we will simply delete posts questioning members opinions. We would rather sleuth and discuss and not waste time having to explain over and over that we all have the right to post our opinions whether they are positive or negative without worrying about feelings being hurt because of an obsession to a contestant.

I agree, and I would like to think I don't need to stay in the fan thread just because I might respond to what someone says about a favorite or someone I don't like.  My point about bias is not that we have to analyze it so much as we all IMO have it and that's okay.  I have never accused someone of lacking intelligence and I don't think that's what I mean.  Folks in other threads including Bryan's strongly defend their position when someone speaks negatively against him.  That is their right and I would never try to police or censor it.  I think we all want that for every poster here who is just expressing themselves within the rules. All of this is my opinion only.

I like Peter. I don't mind his social media behavior. I personally hope if he's not F1 that he's actually not the next Bachelor. I'm weird like that. Lol

I want Peter to be the next Bachelor just cause he's the hometown guy for me, and that could be fun (for me). But otherwise... meh. I personally don't think either Peter or Bryan are worth any of this passion and outrage. Just like ultimately, neither Arie or Jef were worth it either.

It's human nature. IMO. Sometimes I am wondering if I am watching the same shoe/reading the same sm as others, because our interpretations are so different, or even opposite!  It could be fun but it could be frustrating, depending who your fav is, or how serious you take this show. Imo.

sdmom, this is so true for me.  I watch on West Coast time but can't resist checking in here beforehand.  It never ceases to amaze me and has for EVERY season I have watched and posted, that what I see at 8pm PST  IMO never
matches (good/bad/indifferent) what I read.  It is just human nature that we all see everything through our own prism of experiences and biases. JMO (and bias )

I can't even read the episode thread the night it airs because the comments 'taint' what I see when I finally watch 3 hours later. Case in point - this past week with Peter (trying to stay on topic in this thread!) - read that he had his hands clasped when kissing her on the balcony and the interpretation that he is so cold and reserved. Read that Rachel had to ask Peter to kiss him because he's so remote in the last episode - when Rachel was sitting with her legs over his and he had his hand on her leg. And closed captioning said "I was going to lean in to you but you did it first".

I am Team Rachel but I feel many posters are in this Peter thread to offer rebuttal to what Peter's fans see and comment on. My favorite threads are those from he former contestants a la Alex who use their SM platform to praise Rachel as a really fine young woman. Or the comment by Dean on IG about how opening up to Rachel began his healing process from not talking about his mom's death. These examples are concrete real life POSITIVE comments which I would like to see more of.  

Maybe I've read one too many romance books, but can I just say that there's something so sexy about a couple holding back and thus causing so much tension to build until one of them can't do it anymore (a.k.a rachel) but I also see the Bryan appeal. It's just the former pulls at my heart strings

I finally got through this thread. I didn't watch either show so read about their interactions and finally was able to watch when Peter & Rachel had alone time. I really didn't see him leaning back and not being into her. I did see him wanting to get to know her better because he does seem into her to me. I like them together and Rachel seems pretty satisfied with Peter. I don't follow him close enough to know what he likes on SM nor do I care if he throws a little shade. F1 or 2, he doesn't have to like the other guy imo. That happens quite often when both really want to be f1. Anyway, I still like Peter and hope he's TB if not f1.

Thanks for clarifying. I guess I was reading the posts assuming they were objective opinions for the purpose of sleuthing, not merely statements of likes and dislikes. I wasn't implying that anyone should sensor themselves, just trying to understand.

Is there an issue with people not being allowed to discuss Peter in whatever way they want? He has, by far, the most discussion threads of any contestant. 7 threads to Bryan's 3. He has the most fan threads too. He IMO dominates many of the show related posts. Seems to me everyone has their place to love him, hate him, or discuss him without being on a 'side.'

I agree. I am team Rachel foremost and happy for her that she is happy. I really like all her final 4 guys. As far as a F1 or F2, throwing shade seems to me no one will ever beat Shawn B & Nick, not only on the show but social media. Afterall, they gave us the phrase TOG !!!!!!!

We do try to accommodate everyone.
