In this deleted scene with Dean, Peter says, "I don't want to sound like a total dick, but I don't think he's good enough for her." He goes on to say why is a single at 37? Pot meet kettle.

He says some pretty brutal things about Bryan here. The things he says in this scene line up exactly with the likes of negative comments about Bryan. To me, this is proof that he means to shade Bryan because the words are coming straight out of the horse's mouth.

Another reason why I think he is not the last man standing.  I don't think I have ever seen a F1 talking negatively about another contestant on camera.  

What about PJ, Josh, Shawn? It seems like a number of F1's have said less than flattering things about other contestants. Even Vanessa if I remember correctly.

Although he was confrontational too, so it was a story line which makes sense to keep the negative comments in the edit.

I personally think for those F1 the storyline was all about confronting them with the F2.
Here we never see them argue or have a direct confrontation.

Those others spoke directly to the camera, and directly to the ones they didn't like and made no bones about their dislike for the other.

This setting is different. He's not talking in a PI. Although it's caught on camera, it's almost talking behind his back, since the others were upfront right out the gate.

Plus, what reason does he have at this point to say that when there hasn't been any conflict shown between the two of them.

I'm betting everyone in the house including Bryan were caught on camera at some point saying not so nice things about the competition. It just hasn't been aired.

I don't see anything wrong or horrible about what Peter or Dean were saying about Bryan during the chess game. Bryan is smooth, he is confident, he is 37 and single and they did hear his sloppy seconds comment and had the same reaction to it than a great share of the viewers did. JMO.

Exactly my point. If Bryan were liking negative comments about Dean about his age then we would know for sure he meant to shade Dean about his age. IMO the age criticism is valid and not a direct attack on his character, but a valid point and neutral point about where many are at when they are at Dean's age. It wasn't a personal attack.

We were talking about intention behind the negative likes and the whole reason the deleted scene was brought up was to show how these align exactly with Peter's previous comments about Bryan. The points you just stated above are the very points Peter is trying to make in liking those negative comments of Bryan to have us see Bryan in that light so that we don't think Bryan is good enough for Rachel, even post show!

I don't think JP ever said a negative thing about Ben and they even had dinner post show together when Ben was in NYC while Jash still lived there. Or maybe I'm blocking something out in light of Shawn's Rambo style homicidal rage to all 25 dudes that dared come near Kait. Peter and B are highly disappointing in this area so far but I'm very hopeful for some crayyy outta them too.

Possible, but it wasn't aired. This convo between Dean and Peter was on camera. It doesn't make them look very good talking behind someone else's back. Jmho.

IA, I haven't seen it either, though I've only watched a few seasons all the way through. But it could be a season of firsts?

How is this for funny...i thought this deleted scene was evidence that Peter is f1!!! He is pointing out, like a gentleman!!!, imo, that he did not like Bryans sloppy seconds comment from Ellen show.

Peter is so perceptive and protective of her. He would never make, imo, a similar comment. The guy watches her like a hawk and honestly reminds me of how gentlemanly Chris was over Des in her foiler season.
