I thought this part was interesting:

“I know that JoJo was told what had happened. I almost felt a little bit betrayed,” Bushnell continues. “That was really hard, but we moved forward from that.”

So not only was there betrayal and hurt over Ben's dual ILYs - there was hurt over not being told of the dual ILYs DURING the experience as was JoJo. Would that have changed anything?

Maybe the "woe is me" campaign is now officially began?

She's still not as bad as Ben, but so much for her staying quiet. What's this? Two exclusives in one week?

Lauren, JoJo only knew about the dual I love you because JoJo forced it out of him. She asked him and pretty much forced the truth out of him. He would have kept quiet with her too. Heck, it was shown in a preview, but not the episode, but we saw Ben crying on the couch with JoJo the night before he proposed to Lauren saying he was so in love with her. He just spun himself into a giant web and got stuck. JMO

Well sharing her side got her one of the small cover stories on People this week. Who knows what else is in the article.

I'm guessing both articles stem from the same interview. I guess if she was going to do an interview makes sense it's for People.

18months is a long time to question whether you're good enough for your partner whom you seemingly love. IMO, she's probably questioned Ben's commitment to her since November 2015 but tried to remain strong. Not apologizing for the dual ILY's and canceling the wedding on national tv probably were game changers for Lauren's view on the relationship.... Just so hard to get past with all the public's scrutiny.

She's right... They tried... She tried to be strong but it just wasn't enough for whatever reason they only know.

People used to be the megaphone as far as positive pr spin for the franchise.

IMO Ben hurt both Lauren and JoJo with the double ILY's and continued to hurt Lauren with it by never accepting responsibility for his hurtful actions. Lauren dealt with endless amounts of flack for that in the media and SM. I appreciate Lauren giving her true feelings about how hurtful the situation was. JoJo had zillions of times to talk about it after filming and on her Bachelorette run. Lauren is saying her feelings on the breakup in a People article and I see no signs of making herself a victim. Lauren was incredibly strong to put up with that kind of selfish love for as long as she did IMO. I continue to think Lauren has handled the breakup with dignity and sensitivity. I see no sign of Lauren using the breakup for self advancement or to garner sympathy....totally the opposite of Ben.

Jmo but feeling love for more than one person is not selfish, just unfortunate, and something few of us would probably handle expertly...especially when under the gun and on the timetable and rules of tptb....

I totally get how hard the situation was for Lauren, though, and as a generally insecure person myself I would not have lasted nearly as long as she did.

The fact that she says she never talked about the two ILY's is telling to me. If she didn't talk about it, why didn't Ben talk about it to ensure she was able to get over it and give her the reassurance of his feelings for her?

Did she feel it was better never to discuss it because Ben felt there was nothing wrong with it? Was it part of a script (which I always thought it was)

IMO Lauren has always been well spoken and mature when talking to the media. This is no exception. Besides, how difficult is it for her to see Ben moving at Road Runner speed moving on, with the podcast (which he obviously didn't tell her was in the works IMHO) and him talking to the media so much. I don't blame her for at least telling her side of the story in a mature manner with no other motive other than facts IMO.

Ben has been on the Woe is me train for weeks now, I see no issue with Lauren putting her side of the story out there. Jmo.

In the article she said the only person she spoke to about the double I love you was Ben and I remember in a recent interview were she was giving advice to Vanessa one of her advice was to let her family and friends in when dealing with the aftermaths which she didn't do.

She also mentioned she begrudgingly did the HEA show, she just wanted it to be them moving on with their lives.

In the people mag clip, they also mention that Ben didn't tell her that he would be talking about the breakup aka furniture gate, she said the timing wasn't great but it really hurt... IMO I knew the podcast promo using their breakup and Ashley I's infamous pics really hurt Lauren and it was so obvious after she liked the 'date' comment, then unfollowed Ben on insta shortly afterwards.

IMO I still think Ben is a good guy but he really hurt Lauren and my heart truly breaks for her. It's obvious she truly wanted to marry Ben but there was too much to overcome... You can't fake her tears on HEA when he told her they hadn't done anything and then cancelled the wedding
