Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion - #8

Ashley I. had a huge crush on Ben so I'm sure she's happy he's "on the market". Another unattainable guy she can obsess about. I wonder how the whole podcast came about.

If he wants an Ashley I type I got about 10 girls here in Colorado who would act just like her. Lol

Maybe Ben really is "unloveable" and his little self fulfilling prophesy will come true.

I honestly do think Lauren will probably settle down for real first.

I hope Lauren stays away from any Bach alums, especially Chase. There are plenty of nicer guys out there. I don't care what Ben does as long as it's not on the Bachelor.

Meh , how could Lauren stay away from bach alumni? She has a lot of bach alumni friends . I doubt it!

Ben will probably run for office again. I don't see him being the lead again. Jmo.

And it's not like Ben forced Lauren to move to Denver. IMO, if Lauren wanted to stay in LA, Ben would have done the long distance thing with her until they got married. She was super excited about the move and IMO she didn't think it through completely. She probably didn't think about how often Ben would be gone because of his job, or maybe she thought he would quit his job and live off instagram shilling/blogging/appearance fees. IMO, she didn't really try to make Denver work. I think she wouldn't have been bored and hated Denver so much if she would have got a full or even part time job so she was busy during the week and actually had a purpose there. Instead of trying, she jetted off to wherever her friends were that week. IMO, Lauren just wants to be an influencer because of the easy money with the ability to do whatever whenever and I see her dating a fellow influencer in the future, not a 9-5er. She needs someone with a schedule as flexible as hers. JMO.

How do we know Ben would have done the long distance thing? IMO that's the last thing Ben would have agreed to. There are plenty of F1's that picked up and moved to be with their lead. Why would it be any different for a couple that at the time were crazy about each other. Lauren IMO did everything she could to give Denver a try. She picked up and moved from another state. She was involved in her community, charity events etc. I'm not sure what more she could have done. Who said she was bored and hated Denver?

All the jetting off IMO started to occur when there were problems between the two of them. It's not like she picked up, moved to Denver and started to travel everywhere without him.

Lauren said in numerous interviews how supportive Ben is of her, so that's why I don't think he would have minded her living in LA. IMO, I think her living in LA during the week and them spending weekends together in Denver would have been fine with Ben. Yes, lots of other F1s have picked up and moved, but I can't recall any F1s that traveled a lot as part of their real job.

As for Denver life...what makes you think she did everything she could to give Denver a try? And did she ever do any community/charity events, etc. without Ben? IIRC, she didn't and I'm pretty sure the only thing she ever really blogged/posted about Denver was how great her aesthetician was. IMO, it doesn't seem like she tried to start building a life of her own there.

IMO, she could have laid low and found a normal job or maybe even started a CO specific blog. She has over a million followers, so IMO I bet CO restaurants/spas/boutiques/tourist locations/etc. would have comped and/or paid her to feature them. IMO, that definitely could have kept her busy during the week while Ben was working. I know she has a blog, but she has 57 entries in almost a year...her blog is a hobby, not a job.

Since  blog is a job . Except those few who always updating it and spare their time in there talking about everything because they are dedicated . But on this franchise most of the formers of this show after being on the show. They jumped on creating their own blog. What's new? . Speaking of Lauren , I do think Lauren kinda get bored in Colorado . I know many of you especially their fans keep saying she has lots of friends and met new ones which I can say she did at some point but mostly she is just bored and without her snapchat to kill her boredom she is definitely not enjoying it . Well good thing she keeps travelling at some point too . Did she ever take her time to see or discover Denver while she was there ? Since she is mostly out of town ? Jmo.

Sorry I respectfully disagree. I don't know where this idea came from that she was bored but IMO she clearly wasn't bored. She got engaged, moved to Denver, did some renovating, went to several charity events with Ben, filmed HEA, runs her blog, they went to ball games, shills, travelled, and on and on.

If a relationship is strong, and both support each other, what difference does it make whether they work in a department store, or shill, as long as they are happy. IMHO.

They were caught on camera during the ATFR for JoJo's season, Ben questioning her about if his little speech to JoJo and Jordan He had a hissy fit when she wasn't responding to his liking. This was obviously very early on and obvious to me that they would have their challenges. I would have said, WTH is wrong with you, I told you that was good. What more do you want?

This isn't Lauren's fault or Ben's fault IMO, it's both of them. They both fell into a lifestyle totally different than what they were used to. Some can handle it with maturity, sometimes, one can be the calming force and help the other one along in dealing with SM and everything that goes with suddenly being in the spotlight, and some get all messed up, which IMO is what happened to both of them.

JMO, Ben is who he always was. Bland, boring and used to getting his way. Mama Higgins warned both JoJo and Lauren about this. JoJo seemed to acknowledge it IMO and Lauren just glossed over it.

I give Lauren credit, she moved and tried and it wasn't for her. To me, IMO, she looked happiest in the early days when they we out and about traveling. I think Lauren is still a bit nomadic, that is okay, but homebody Ben is not the right fit for that.

These two were not destined for long term, IMO, once they got past the initial crush and giddiness of being together they just didn't have a friendship to build on. Not their fault, it is a hazard of the show.

Ben handled postponing the wedding badly, but much worse than that would have been to ignore his doubts and they end up stuck in a miserable marriage or the first bachelor divorce. My divorce traumatised me for a while, I still wish I had been brave enough to call off the wedding instead when I had those doubts.

These two fell in bubble love and never grew to the something deeper. No one's fault. If they were meant to be it would have worked, they weren't and didn't. I hope they both find their happiness elsewhere.
