Doubt they get married anytime soon.  Jordan's got a career now, he's not gonna mess those coins up by getting married and having kids.  No distractions. **IMO**

SI.com: Many people will see this as ESPN attempting to capitalize on the popularity of a show that aired on a fellow Disney property. Why or why not is this the case?

Druley: He had been on our radar before the show, he didn’t need the show to get our attention. In fact, I had a real concern with how he would be viewed by fans of the show and what it might mean for him down the line. We waited until the show was a few weeks into its run before we made an offer. He accepted the offer the day I was in an airport and saw US Weekly with him splashed across the cover. Thankfully, the article didn’t live up to the headline nor did a lot of other ones I read, and I’m certain that I read about 90% of what was written because I was vested in what it’d mean for the work he’d do with us. But the fact that my group had spent time with Jordan made us confident in the decision.

Hopefully we can now put this issue to rest as clearly ESPN themselves stated (in loose terms) that doing the Bachelorette essentially would have harmed him more than helped him in getting the position. He earned it on his own right having experience being a football player and having the gift of eloquent speech. Case closed!

ESPN, the most reputable sports network (NOT) defended the hiring of a reality TV show star with a newfound platform, so of course it must be true.

I'm totally fine with changing my stance of ESPN was not checking for him to he was on their radar.  IMO, from everything i've read, Druley did not say or insinuate that the gig was his before doing the show.  

I'm actually happy for him.  He's earning a living and he owes a lot of it to JoJo.  She seems like a ride or die chick.

So we reached out to him. At the time, he was unavailable due to filming. I’m not even sure that we knew what show he was doing. When he became available, he came to Charlotte.

I love he description of Jo as a ride or die chick, that's so appropriare I'm sure a part of why he stayed on the show was the status-y aspect of winning and Jo herself as the prize but she's soooo much effort that I think he must have grown pretty fond of her somewhere along the road here IMO.

Maybe we are saying one of the same thing. Luke, his brother, in an interview with Womanista talked about how he was interviewed back either in February or March BEFORE going on the show. Is it possible that the recruitment process, like many others had different stages? Like I know from my experience, you do an interview, then you are shortlisted then you have another round of interviews. Could it be that he interviewed before the show like his brother said and that he auditioned/interviewed again afterwards since he was maybe shortlisted then? All just speculation on my part. But I do not think his brother would outright lie and say he interviewed before the show just to save face. Also, a radio broadcaster with whom Jordan had worked prior also said, on air, that radio broadcasting was on Jordan's radar for quite a while so it not surprising that he got the job.

I don't think ESPN would hire you simply because you have a huge following solely, as it appears to be implied here. Clearly, any employer would want to have some talent to go with that as well. And, it was the talent that drew them to him in the first place, btw.

I'm actually surprised JoJo and Jordan's home - a half a mill property that according to the listing is surrounded by million dollar homes - that the neighbors are actually ok with the rental property. My neighborhood isn't nearly as swanky as JoJoJo's, but we have it built into our association that you aren't supposed to rent your property. It doesn't mean that it hasn't happened (2 doors down from me the owner rented it out for a year), but it's highly frowned upon (brings down value of other homes.) I will be shocked if JoJo's house is sold to another owner who plans to rent. Don't see that happening.
