Speaking only for myself, I consider myself a "fan" of Nick however my definition of "fan" is that while I like the person I don't put them on a pedestal that they are flawless as I am fully aware of their multitude of flaws and see their relationship lasting as much as anyone else's relationship lasting and based on the amount of effort they put in - no different to my own relationship. I don't pretend to have a crystal ball for anything - not for Nick, not for myself, not for anyone.  Life is short but it's also long.

So while I can post cute smilies and gush all day I am also very realistic and always have been when it comes to this show and relationships lasting. In some ways I have dual-thinking and can seem completely contradictory but that's fine with me because that's just how I operate (logic and optimism). If it lasts great, if it doesn't well hopefully there's lessons learnt.

As for whether a relationship "lasts"... even that to me doesn't mean that much considering I've known many a couple who got married and still are married and I wouldn't want to emulate their relationship at all - so to me, marriage or longevity of a relationship is not something I look for... what I look at is the overall health of a relationship as a barometer of "success".

To me Nick and Vanessa are two people in a relationship that began on a show that is anything but conventional. They seem to have a good grasp of this themselves which bodes well and are realistic while being optimistic of their chances. To me, that's a very healthy approach to relationships and why I am cautiously optimistic and hopeful that Nick and V will have a healthy relationship (because to me that's the goal and not marriage or length of time together). And if they don't? Well, they're no different than anyone else.

That's what she's saying. Although some found it awkward, the fact that Nick and Vanessa posted it themselves commenting that it was a lot of fun, then it must have been fun IMHO.

Not necessarily. Not everything that people say is the truth. Like I said before - if the Ellen show posted a video ANYONE in their right mind would re-post it and say positive things about the experience. And I'm sure being on that show was fun because it was clearly supposed to be a lighthearted thing. But for those that have already seen cracks in their relationship it didn't help much. IMO

That's what makes him so polarizing. He's not there to win you over. He's is who he is.
Did he play ball with TPTB on his season--yes. IMO. That's what a smart lead does. IMO
Now he is done. So I would imagine there would be a bit of --disinterest etc when having to deal with that season and questions etc.
He can't bad mouth them. IMO If not for them, he would not be where he is or have what he has, including Vanessa.  So he has to tolerate ATFR and interviews that deal with that season.
Now he can move on as he and V have said.

IMO ALL of them are capable of faking it. Just think about it for a minute - - they go on a reality show and meet all these people and the basic premise of the show is to propose or be proposed to at the end. And we already know the backlash if they don't play the game. They get slaughtered in the press. If they play the game right then a TON of opportunities arise afterwards and they become instant 'celebrities' and make tons of money. And...sadly its easy to fake a relationship in the eyes of the public.
