IMO, Nick & Vanessa don't owe the public validation and justifications about their love for each other. It doesn't mean any different if they do or don't. TPTB did a half azzed job with their love story. If they came out all lovey dovey some people would still call it FAKE. I don't understand what else they need to do. They were given negative questions and answered it. They were given unrealistic questions about a wedding and they responded. To me they live in the present and that's totally fine. Saying they'll be married tomorrow is unrealistic. That's not Nick and Vanessa. They are doing this thing called being engaged on this show step by step with caution. It's the best way, IMO. Kudos to a couple that doesn't need to be OTT.

^^ Is Millsy like this on every episode of the podcast? I mean, I'm only a few minutes in and he's basically saying Nick made a bad choice. They also just said that maybe the next woman he finds, after Vanessa, will be the right one. He doesn't have much faith in them.

Millsy has made some very ugly comments about cast in the past, along the lines of race and sexual orientation. The man is a skank.

nope, that's just Millsy ... no hard feelings, nothing is personal with him ... he changes his tune every 5 minutes (or less), depending which "fake news" he prefers ... just "the sell" - IMO- He's a chameleon, adapts to what the "market wants" ... by "knowing before theM" ... like knowing when the temperature is going to get high and he's the first to sell the ice-cream.

So interesting how three different people from The Bachelor - Millsy, Harrison, Elan - can have such different viewpoints on the cast, the season, the outcome, etc.... You could even count Harrison twice since he seemed to have one opinion during the AFTR and another on his blog. You could also throw Nick in as a fourth since he's practically been employed by TP for the last few years.

Only time will tell! I figure Nick & Vanessa have just as good a shot as any!

I agree with almost all of this. Only difference is that I actually do think they are pretty comfortable and at ease with each other, just not comfortable with interviews (though I think that's more Vanessa than Nick). But what stands out to me is that Nick doesn't seem to have that same sparkle in his eyes when he looks at her like he had throughout the show, IMO. Might be trouble in paradise, might be that you can't sparkle forever, or it might just be exhaustion. I guess time will tell.

Actually of all 3 ... only Elan's opinion I believe is personal (as much as business), his own ... Millsy, CH/CM are just "selling" whatever "the show" needs. It's their "9-5 job" or as long as cameras are rolling, then they go play golf or whatever. I don't give their words any value, either they praise or tear down. Their words never stick! Integrity isn't part of their lives ... and rich as they are, guess it's not important. - all IMO

I have listened to Millsy on every podcast this season and I found them fascinating. Mills is the VP at ABC that oversees the Bachelor/i.e. Alternative programming. I found Mills very straight forward in his comments through out the season about the Franchise in general and Nicks season. It was a peek behind the curtain IMO. Mills oversees the Oscars so that post Oscar podcast was funny! Julia is a kook IMO but I found the two of them unfiltered and funny.

I take Nick and Vanessa at their word. I do believe they are trying to make it work...baby steps. I also think post DWTS will be where the rubber hits the road and real life sets in. Whether compromise will happen on both sides in the relationship remains to be seen IMO. I have followed Nick very closely the last few years so that adds to my skepticism.
I really hope that both Vanessa and Nick are happy and can make it work. I do think it is possible if they meet in the middle in planning a life together. It takes two.IMO

Overall I have found that they seem just normal and at ease around each other. Nick I actually feel has been much more light hearted in interviews, making more jokes etc. Also, I find Vanessa so refreshing in interviews, she seems so "unaware" of the bach world - i.e. "Who's Trista", when asked about the bachelor curse she said "what's the bachelor curse". Even in the pap pics - Vanessa was unaware of the paps at first just continuing to walk/talk with Lauren. Also I am loving how they are navigating with SM - they have been giving enough but not overboard at all.

Too hard to say if they will make it, time will tell. Whether they do or don't is what is meant to be. For the time being I do think they are making a conscious effort - I think her moving to be with him in LA, her family seeing her off beforehand, them spending time with her family the night of the ATFR, his families support, her being in contact with his mom - all of that I think definitely shows two people that are making a conscious effort - hard to judge beyond that.

Sorry for a double post.

The other thing I wanted to add - as others have said they haven't seen the same "passion" or "twinkle in his eyes" with Vanessa. I think part of that has to do with the edit we saw on the show - as Jasmine/Alexis/Taylor/Liz/Kristen have all indicated in one way or another that it was obvious how into Vanessa - Nick was. Jasmine/Alexis indicated to Ashley I you could tell when she was in the room as all Nick's attention would be on her. Also post show - it is difficult to tell as we never saw him with Andi or Kaitlyn when they were out of the bubble. One thing I did notice however - the most genuine emotion I have seen Nick have on this show in four seasons were both with Vanessa - first on their first date when he cried and second during their proposal a) he saw her walk through the doors b) when he talked about falling in love with her for the first time at the second rose ceremony.

Watch his proposal with Kaitlyn vs. his with Vanessa, night and day difference. IMO.
