I'm going to give the producer the benefit of the doubt. I'm glad no one is hurt. That was not fun not knowing there for awhile.

People file frivolous lawsuits all the time.  Maybe it's because I'm primarily a defense attorney, but I would not be so quick to believe someone just because they filed a lawsuit -- at least, not how US law works.  But it's hard to know until we know exactly what the allegations are.

For the massive amount of money invested and lost revenue from stopping or canceling production on BIP....there has to be some serious weight to the situation IMO. From what has been reported it sounds like a typical BIP crazy OTT behavior Corinne/DeMario style. Nothing new for this show and actually seemingly in the BIP wheelhouse.
I am so curious to know the whole story....hopefully someone lays it out there soon.

I'm a lawyer and typically third-party complaints are filed when someone is a defendant in a lawsuit, and then they file a lawsuit against another party.

So let's say A sued B. And then, as part of the same case, B sues C. The lawsuit by B against C would be a third-party complaint. So this was say to me that someone sued the producer, and then the producer brought a complaint against the show as part of the same lawsuit.

Because you can't bring a complaint on behalf of a third-party except in very extremely limited circumstances where organizations can sue on behalf of their members or an individual can sue for themselves and a class of people. But those would not be characterized as a "third party complaint".

@kimberlyg Could the part of the lawsuit actually require them to stop taping. An injunction or something? Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

JMO, Caila in general actually seems to care about other people's feelings more than others in the franchise. Or possibly the others know what happened and are not concerned because they were able to talk to DeMario and Corrine. Interesting either way and all JMO.
