They asked her what she looks for in a guy, she said confidence because she doesn't like insecure guys.
The lady then asked Rachel if she likes cocky guys because there is a difference between cocky and confident and Rachel agreed that there is a difference and she said she can't stand a cocky guy.
Then the lady said "Well do you know of Josh Murray" and Rachel said "Yes I do" and then the lady said "He's cocky right?" and Rachel said "I think he's cute"

Honestly, how do we know what is fake, or what is real with Rachel?? I've seen conflicting personalities. The one that she shows with Nick, and the other that she has shown when not with Nick, or when being interviewed, and on SM. I think things are rosy, until they are not.

Actually she never said she liked josh, the girl said he was cocky then asked if she knew him, trying to get Rachel to badmouth him, she said he was really cute, then Rachel went on to talk about her crush on justin bieber. Saying someone's cute (which he is IMO) ≠ saying you like him. In fact when the interviewer joked that he should apply, I thought she made a face.

I think I am the only one that likes Rachel and Vanessa, hell I liked the entire final 4. The entire final 4 to me were alpha females with strong personalities. I honestly don't think we know anyone's true personality from the show. All I know is that I am rooting for Vanessa and Nick's success as a couple, and I am rooting for Rachel's success as the ette. I like that Rachel is a professional woman and I like her smile and personality and I'd be lying if I didn't say that as an African American myself that has been a long time viewer of this show I am interested to see the dynamics of her season.

exactly, the lady was like "That Josh, he is really cock right?" trying to get her to say something negative. It's not like Rachel brought him up on her own.

Rachel is competitive. I'm sure she is fierce in that courtroom. It's a learned trait. She has sized up the competition and spotted it in V, IMO. If she had any doubts, Nick's actions during the loser go home, nope loser stay date made it loud and clear. The one thing she had going for her though was the alliance of the others who were obviously not his favorite, either. Together they survived in those final days. Together did not include Vanessa. When V took it to Rachel, the heat absolutely got turned up. I think Rachel was probably a little taken back by it. It was definitely not appreciated. I get it, I do.

But it's 3 months later, the season has played out. The chemistry that flowed is clear as day. There's no way you can't at least acknowledge where V's ownership of N's feelings came from. Hopefully in time, Rachel will soften and acknowledge people respond to emotion differently. Maybe she can see that V's emotion/heart was just more invested, eventually.

IMO the question applies to everyone on TV. We never really know them and editing is another story.

With the ditzy type friends Nick hangs around (Ashley I, the twins, etc.) , I don't see the big deal with a throwaway line about Josh.  IMO.

You're not alone. I like both Rachel and Vanessa most out of the women this season, despite all the drama. That's really none of my business; but they each have qualities that I both like. And I'd go so far as to say I liked Nick's Top 6.

I have too. Between her "his loss" comment, and in the article I posted in the SM thread, she's praising him. There was another lawyer who would say whatever she thought was the right thing to say at the time IMO. I'm keeping my eye out because I sensed that when she was announced. In that same article she mentions due to her job, it will be difficult to cast contestants. This IMO shows the lack of knowledge she has with this franchise. Hate to break the news, but your job has nothing to do with casting IMHO.
