That is not completely true.  They may be from older, past seasons, but there are plenty that have returned to their previous lives and lifestyles without shilling on SM or even sharing their lives on SM.  Some either got rid of it altogether, others made it private ( totally unheard of with most these days), or simply choose not to share every single minute of their lives.  

IMO, The past few seasons the cast seems more and more into the fame and what they can get from the show.  And IMO, a real job seems like an old, thrown away, idea.  And I find myself respecting those that go back to their real lives, real jobs and real friends more and more.

^^ IMO, during older season the power of social media was somewhat negligible and I don't think they got as many opportunities as the current ones have . We can all agree how powerful is SM these days for everyone , they can now have a career out of SM which I don't think was possible few seasons back . Few have tried during their season and gone back to their real jobs . IMO no one has gone without Atleast giving it a try .JMO

Portland and Denver are pretty similar. I don't think it has to do with having family or friends around. I think she just prefers LA lifestyle and the beach. She expected to be married to Ben by now and start a family all in quiet Denver. Now that it's not happening anytime soon, I think it's going to be even harder for her not to miss LA. JMO

There were plenty of opportunities for paid appearances, photoshoots, etc., just like now regardless of how SM was or is.  Some simply walked away after the WTA/MTA and never looked back.  They were still in good standing with TPTB and their fellow cast mates.  They simply chose not to continue to associate with the franchise or continue to sell their souls to the devil.  They could've profited and chose not to.

They do not all try to shill or profit off of the show.  I don't like lumping everyone together or making broad accusations.  There are normally one or two exceptions regardless.  JMOAA

IMO , For someone like Lauren who is very much attached to her family and friends , not having them around plays a major factor in not liking Denver .IMO She has spent a quite deal of her life in LA, so obviously it's not uncommon to miss it esp now when she has nothing to look forward at Denver . I just feel like few months down the line she might return to her FA life or something with Alaska since she is still associated with it.JMO

I think she's bored in Denver, because her relationship started going south, and Ben has n intentions marrying her. IMO she was doing fine and happy, until Ben started pulling away and suggesting, that they do their own thing. JMO.

Where are you guys deriving that she hated Denver? The L&S expose?  Get back to me when US decides to print something along those lines. Otherwise, trash.

I think she was fine and happy with Denver until Ben started backing out of promises with her.

Lauren wants to be a wife and mom, if she knew her life in Denver was leading to that I think she would be ok with Denver. But right now  she's like a faux housewife, who gave up a lot, but with no promises of the future thanks to her fiancé. I compare it to Trista's situation. She moved to cold colorado for Ryan, but Ryan was worth it (boy was he!)and was ready to walk the walk. Ben, IMO, was always in over his head. He's not ready to marry anyone. Ben needs to figure out Ben and what he wants to do with this life. He's aimless at the moment. And he's driving me nuts with the fakeness. As much as I adored them, I want to see Lauren with someone who cherishes her with his actions and words, because I actually think she's a sweet girl.

ITA with your post. I think Lauren really thought Ben was her HEA. I also think Lauren is happy supporting herself financially and is not looking for a sugar daddy. If that was what she wanted she could have found plenty in LA...IMO.

Her ex also seems pretty normal so I'm going with she has a type. I will be super shocked if she seeks out a rich man just to live that lifestyle.

I think Lauren has a type, and I think that type is the normal, down to earth Ben/Sean Evans kind of guy. She's looking for someone like her own dad. I really believe that. She wants the life her mom had. Solid marriage, probably SAHM, 2.5 kids, the dog, the white picket fence. She thought she found that in Ben. 

I will be shocked to see her with a sugar daddy. That has never been my read on Lauren at all. 

When she is Bachelorette not this summer, but the next (  ), I fully expect her F1 to be another Ben-type. Assuming casting finds her a Ben-type or two.
