She probably got startled. The date is in some old New Orleans mansion that is apparently haunted, where they spend the night. So I'm sure the producers went for all kinds of spooky special effects to mess with the women.

Thanks everyone for answering about the F1. I was just curious. I definitely agree that tonight shot Raven up so that her F2 placement will not be a surprise and yes, definitely put her in strong contention for the next lead.

While I saw a little more chemistry with him and Raven than I did with him and Danielle M., I still felt like Nick with Raven, like with Rachel and Danielle M. was more of, "this woman's kind of awesome" but not so much that he's passionately and romantically into her and more in a, "she's a cool chick" sort of way. He definitely seemed to like Raven though and they seemed to connect way more than him and Danielle L.

So we didn't see Vanessa tell Nick that Danielle L was fake tonight..RS said we would see that unless it's still to come next week but I thought RS said she did it at the cocktail party after the group date?

RS only said he heard that it happened. This is exactly why some say RS' spoilers can only tell what happened but he doesn't control the edit and what actually gets aired and he doesn't see the episodes before we do. Many speculated that we may never see that if the producers didn't think it was significant. Hell even RS suggested they might not show it because Vanessa is F1 and they wouldn't want to show the F1 in a negative light.

Not sure I agree but it would be one more point suggesting that Vanessa is indeed the F1. It was especially interesting that they showed a little bit of negativity against Danielle but it only came from Taylor. They couldn't telegraph Taylor's exit coming next week, any clearer. Cannot wait to see her go off on Nick after though because girl has shown that she is fiesty.

The Bachelor doesn't even get the privilege of veto power? I don't know why he was bragging about his childhood neighbor's farm then. I thought I remembered Chris Soules going on about how he planned a date one time.

They all say they plan the dates, but they don't. They may give producers suggestions, but ultimately it's on the producers.

Sometimes, what date a girl gets depends on where she is falling on the leads ranking. Catherine got the date with elephants and that was on her bucket list as per her questionnaire. Similarly the 2 on 1 date has nothing to do with Nick, but everything to do with the continuing feud between Corinne and Taylor that tptb are developing. It's like when they talk in ITMs about it being a weeks time when in fact we know it has only been 3 or 4 days. Bachelor speak.

I would love Raven as the lead, too. I think she is beautiful,smart and a lot of men would fall fast for her. I just don't get all the Rachel love tho. To me she is very plain and boring. I hope they don't cast her. There isn't many I would choose this season tho. I'm so over the Corrine and Taylor BS and I wish they would get back to having normal RC's.

Corinne should be long gone already. I am sure there are others there whose personality quirks could rise to the surface, if she were gone.

Really loved that few minutes we had with Nick & Vanessa tonight..it totally proved how easy it is this season to see the F1 already..even if I was not spoiled I would know he picks Vanessa...wish it was up online faster too so I can watch it again..

This episode was boring. Besides the F2, this season sucks.
