Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion - #5

Add that to yet again another event that only happens once a year that they don't care to spend time together. WEIRD! Maybe this is the new norm I guess...

Ben was an idiot for telling two women that he loved them on The Bach. That was his first major mistake. It sounded like there were some trust issues on Lauren's behalf post-show and the media and people commenting on SM didn't help matters either. Lauren moves to Denver to live with Ben, but this is when the real relationship started. Being with each other every day. Witnessing their annoying habits. This is life. I believe they found out a great deal about each other during this time and realized that maybe they weren't so compatible after all. I hope they announce the split soon, so they can deal with the aftermath and then move on with their lives. Dragging it out isn't helping anyone and Ben seems to be trying to hide it, which is even more ridiculous.

@Mommyof2 I agree dragging it out isn't helping anyone and that's unfortunate. I agree with you that probably Ben's hesitation has to do with the fact that they discovered they're not very compatible when they were living together...the infatuation gave way to really getting to know each other and realizing they don't have much in common MHO...we have to remember Ben is one of the youngest bachelors in the show's franchise right?

The fact that Ben is the only Bachelor who vomits ILY's twice (am i correct?) says a lot about his maturity and awareness of what that word really means. I honestly don't think his prior experiences in past relationships helped him. I think he never really asked important questions to any of the women during his season. He only wanted to find a "wife". He forgot to find a friend for life as well. Lauren and Ben are not "friends" in my opinion. Something lacks in that department. Their humor is so different from one another and it's painful to watch. JMO

Yeah, I realize it is not fair to anyone but wqatching Lauren with baby Ceyla in those snaps or instastories or whatever they are, I feel (my opinion) Lauren wants a baby. Not a grown one. One she raises. I am not sure Ben is ready (for a lot of things, again my opinion) Maybe she is done trying to convince him? That seems such a major thing for either to compromise on.

Agreed. And the fact that he was saying it over and over again to both of them (knowing he could only choose one!) is insane to me IMO. He literally didn't stop until the day of the finale.. Like?!

I do think there was another bachelor that said ILY to two women (Andy, maybe?) and even Sean said ILY to Lindsay when dumping her. I agree that Ben was just really lacking in maturity and experience. The fact that one failed relationship made him think he was unloveable kind of says it all, IMO.

Agreed. Christmas I could still explain away, but if they keep choosing time and time again to spend time with their friends or families or even friends' families over spending time with each other, then that's not much of a relationship anymore. That's being flatmates at best. JMO. It really does seem like they are actively avoiding each other right now, unless a couple of hours under the same roof here and there is enough for them.
