Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion - #5

I find it hard to believe they would tell 700 people (oh Ben. He's so weird with that 700 ppl thing. And obviously very naiive IMO) that their relationship is doing amazing or is about to sink into the ocean either way. That's essentially like telling ppl you have to fart IMO Not everyone needs to know everything.

I so remember this! I was right there with you. Lauren seems so cold and aloof to me and Ben seems like the total opposite. I will never forget in one of their post-show interviews, she made fun of him about an annoying habit and his face fell. I thought to myself, "Girl, you are newly engaged on national TV...knock it off!" Sheesh, my DH does annoying things too, but I don't announce it to his face.

I have to say that although I do like them both -- I feel sorry for Lauren most. She will be the one criticized. Many people still act as if Benis "perfect Ben". She moved, gave up her job and definitely invested a lot into the relationship.  I am glad she is with her mom and sister right now.

I had high hopes for them as a couple.  I did think that maybe Ben was feeling like he needed to be in a serious relationship because so many of his friends are.  However, I did think it an engagement would have be a real adjustment for him since he hadn't had a steady girlfriend for a few years.  I think part of him has still wanted the single life.   That's okay if he does -- maybe he shouldn't have been the Bachelor, though. I think that some people take the lead as Bachelor more for the experience than for a potential spouse, I also feel that the show shouldn't push an engagement so much as the outcome/result even if a lot of viewers might expect it. This is all JMO.

Just reading and catching up on here and imo sounds like there's trouble in paradise. TPTB might be the ones holding up a formal announcement until Nick's season is over. I found it odd that they spent Christmas apart but didn't give it much thought but now the month long continuous vacations & her birthday without him raises red flags for me. I hope it's only a bump in the road & they'll be able to mend their differences. If they have split. My guess would be that Ben initiated it. jmo Who knows, guess time will tell.

Hopefully this is just another. Bump in the road for them.

So curiosity got the best of me and I watched the Vegas episode of their new show. I was cringing the entire time of the whole ball sack convo. Really? Really? He discussed this on TV and collected a sample on the show? I know this is a MF show, but some things are better left private. It made my opinion of Ben take a nosedive. He's such a puppet.

I agree! ^ I mean they don't have to show affection publicly if they don't want to but there are rumors clearly swirling around. I'm surprised Benjamin doesn't even try at this point to squash these rumors a little better.

I am and have always been rooting for them . But Ben's msg is one of the lamest birthday msg anyone has sent to their fiancée. Run Lauren Run. You deserve better and you will find better . IMO

just to rubbish the rumours. he could've come with something better than that.. even friends don't wish each other like that and he is her fiancee
