Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion - #5

Yes we can all make assumptions and guesses.

My thoughts are that she has a blog/instagram/snapchat, so she could possibly be offered trips and paid to promote the hotels. It could be that Ben is sometimes busy plus he may not want to go to every single trip that she is offered, because I don't think staying at hotels all the time is that exciting. So she probably plans it around events and invites her friends/family along so that it won't be too boring. If you go with different people, its more interesting. Example, if you are given movie tickets all the time, wouldn't it be more better to take different groups from time to time, example, take your friends sometimes, and then take your family other times. Plus if you take your family on movie trips all the time, when you have a special night out at the movies it will just be another regular trip.

Not sure how people know whether the couple spent her birthday together last year or not (thought that if they didn't it was because the show hadn't finished airing yet?) but they did spend Ben's birthday together - https://www.instagram.com/p/BEKIzz_kEQ-/?taken-by=laurenandbenhiggi&hl=en This was posted on their social media as the show had finished airing in March, before Ben's birthday.

Alternatively they have decided to take a huge step back and slooooow things way down - it's almost like they don't live together/have regressed into just dating where you maybe spend the night some/lots of times but you don't live together. I'm a fan, obviously. But sometimes you gotta face reality.  You can and should have friend time/alone time. That's healthy and some couples do that more than others. But Lauren and Ben haven't had any quality time together at all recently. You can't ignore that. It's not normal engaged/happy/moving towards wedding behavior. Dating and having fun? Maybe that. Struggling and hanging on hoping it turns around? Also possible/likely.

You may be right about the dating thing. Whitney (or Scarlett. But I'm pretty sure it was Whitney) called Ben Laurens "boyfriend" in one of the comments from the recent trip.

@Lennoxcolinrolland I don't think Whitney meant literally Ben was Lauren's boyfriend. IMO she was very very annoyed with the comments that Lauren was getting on her posts... IMO I saw her post as being very sarcastic/frustrated with the comments and basically taking a jibe at some of the things she has been accused of.

I thought it was funny and cute how she said it, I didn't see anything bad with the tweet. I think it was sweet that the users of social media in twitter helped Lauren tweet Ben to get his attention.

I assume the reason why he didn't reply to her tweet was because he had already replied in his private text, the question then becomes, if you reply to a private text, do you then need to repeat and reply again to the public so that the public knows you have responded to a private text?

In my opinion, he didn't need to as Lauren confirmed back to the public that he had replied with her tweet "thanks babe". Why? So that people knew that he had responded and wouldn't need to help her tweet anymore as the tweet originally came from her.

When Lauren tweeted Ben for not replying her text back, someone had mentioned jokingly how this is gonna be a tabloid headline for tomorrow morning and I guess that's what is all happening here IMO.

It is entirely possible he never saw her text message. If they were really having issues i don't see her going on sm to nag him about texting.

I dont see how bach couples or any celeb couple can put up with strangers acting like they know more about their relationship than they really do. I'd refrain from posting anything or just have a private profile.

RS mentioned in today's column that Lauren's IG bio changed from having fiancé in it to just business contact info. Is this true? I don't look at her page so I never would have noticed.

I dont think I've ever noticed anything about Ben or having a fiancée in her bio. Anyone else?

I'm not positive but I think I have seen it. Definitely could be wrong though as I barely follow her. If it was there, it's not now.
