I wonder why she was going to do DWTS in the first place, or she had a hissy fit when B/L announced their HEA show? Two shows not enough for her?

She has also done a few family feuds and maybe millionaire(maybe not? LOL I can't remember). My point being, she is available if they wanted her. Looks like she was not wanted.

@Kashathediva yes she did millionaire. She's had many tv appearances with TB. Two family feuds, millionaire bachelor fan favs, called in to After Paradise for the Ashley/ Jared drama, was on Ben's bachelor live premiere (yet criticized B&L for being at JoJo's finale because how awkward must that have been for JoJo to have her ex there), was part of the bachelorette advice chat on JoJo's season, was given a segment during Jade and Tanners wedding special, was given a segment on Nicks bachelor special, and was invited to JKL to promote Nicks season. On top of at, she has gotten to do many interviews with different media outlets and got some tv exposure with bachelorette CA. Like what more could they possibly give her before she is grateful? All JMO.

She is 2 yrs out from the show now, so she should be free to follow her heart without strings attached. I wish her luck.

I hate how they try to compensate by saying Trista or Melissa were on the show. That was YEARS AGO. So it's been 8 years since they gave it to a woman who was just on the show. Melissa's first appearance was in 2009. That was 8 years ago. I really believe they do give preference to the guys. I mean, Chris souls? He was so boring. Why would they want him? And I do think Kaitlyn or JoJo would have been interesting on DWTS, way more than Sean or Chris. JMO.

As someone who has followed DWTS for years, I don't think this is an instance of sexism. It's just that the show never has a problem booking female celebrities IMO. Male celebrities have always been a hit or miss - even the younger cast. If nothing else, the bachelors are in good shape and can take their shirts off They are also fresh off their season and are in viewers mind so that helps with voting. CS was terrible but lasted 7 episodes and ranked 5th that season. That says it all IMO.

Even this season, the show is filled with female ringers. Do I think they'll go for Kaitlyn over Simone Biles or Normani from 5th harmony? No. Coz they have bigger fan bases who would vote. I personally would prefer someone without dance experience over a ringer but that is not the show TPTB intend to produce.

@coolangel ITA. IMO there are a lot of female celebs with a lot more fans, general appeal and talent wanting to take part on DWTS than males. Most years the female line up is insane. IMO the previous bette simply isn't as appealing to DWTS casting with their line up. IMO the male side has more room, and IMO Nick was an obvious casting choice with his long winded Bach run, and him finally getting the girl. JMO.

IMO dancing with the stars has a lot of nobodies I've never heard of. So I don't really think the competition is that great to get on the show. Maybe simone biles was a bigger star, but some of the others not so much. I think in the last 8 years , they could have picked a Bachelorette who met their needs.

Who in the last 8 years would have been interested besides K?

Well besides Kaitlyn, JoJo, Andi, Ashley Hebert, Emily Maynard IMO

I don't think MEandI wanted it at all from what I have heard. She came out and said such. Ashely did not want it, she had schooling contracts/deadlines to meet. I am pretty sure Emily turned it down. So that leaves K and maybe JoJo.

Going back far, but I think Jillian was offered and she turned it down? Or the show made her turn it down? I forget. But something about not wanting fans to think she only wanted the fame and at the time she was prioritizing Ed and her relationship and was fresh off all her crazy tabloids.
