I doubt Ben told Chase anything about this, or maybe he did since they seem to hang out often, who knows, but he and Robby were asked about the rumors about Ben and Lauren today, and Chase said they deal with regular couple problems, but are trying to make it work.

They are a real couple.  To me this means that they would have real-life problems they have to face like everyone else.  I guess it is just hard for me to understand why that would be anything other than an obvious answer.  Why were there rumors, anyway and why would they ask Chase and Robbie about that?  They should be asking Ben and Lauren those questions instead or else not saying anything at all.  I know that if some interviewer were asking me about rumors about my friends' relationship -- I would be mad and then say nothing.  There is a thing called confidentiality (I keep my word to friends about keeping what they tell me about personal things to myself)  sas well as privacy and it makes me kind of sad that some people don't even seem to recognize what an inappropriate question is anymore.

I think that it is easy to sometimes put "celebrities" on a pedestal and think that their lives are "perfect" or they are "perfect" when really we have no idea what is really going on in their lives.  I will admit to having done this as well. I do applaud Ben and Lauren for being as open with the public as they are and the fact that they do get counseling and ask for help when they need it.  This is all JMO.

@suzq I don't know if you watched the extra video chat, but Robby and Chase really only had good things to say about Ben and Lauren. When they responded to the rumors question, IMO they answered in a way that dismissed the rumors. Chase said the whole "they are a normal couple with ups and downs but they were working through them" and Robby said it's not uncommon to have rumors flying around you when in the bachelor nation. Neither one acted like they believed said "rumors" and just before that question had talked about how great they were. Here is the link to the video if anyone wants to watch. So was Harrison's tv offer not real? Or was it real but they really backed out? What a cluster IMO. This is like trying to make fetch happen at this point IMO...

I love how Lauren said her love resolution for the new year is "patience." I'm sure anyone needs A LOT of "patience" living with/being around Ben IMO.

IMO the CH offer for the televised wedding was absolutely real and Ben backing out of the wedding timing ended the offer. Based on the interviews I heard last night and read today....I think the televised wedding is being given to Carly and Evan instead.
IMO Ben is a mess. He said he wants to be living a normal RL but he does not want the fans to forget him. What?? Maybe if he hadn't blindsided Lauren about the wedding....Ben would be still be appealing instead of an indecisive sap. Poor Lauren....IMO.

I still think if they decided quickly enough it would go to them over Carly and Evan any day.

Is the assumption that the Bachelorettes are being skipped over?

I think there was probably a legitimate offer, but they weren't ready. Nothing wrong with that. It would be interesting to see if in the spring Ben and Lauren decide they are ready if production would randomly do one. The winter just makes sense given the bachelor season is just getting started. Would it make sense to give Ben and Lauren a wedding two years later in the winter with even more couples?

In terms of Carly and Evan, if they get one it's going to be a la Marcus and Lacey, but a real one IMO. With the bachelorettes it's hard to tell. Kaitlyn and Shawn are a different breed and JoJo and Jordan have only been together for 8 months. Ben and Lauren are the ones that make the most sense for a wedding this winter since they're going on a year and a half together, but if they're not ready, there's no need to rush. You can still have the wedding of your dreams without production IMO.
